„It is better to die in the fight against the conquerors than to live under the Gyaurs”
Shamil
The recent Chechen events have become a good lesson for those who want to learn something from them.
First of all, it became clear that what is more important is the “recognition” of the so-called Western democracies or the readiness of their people to defend the independence of the state to the end.
What is the “Chechen phenomenon”? Why was it not possible to break this small nation either in the 19th century or in the 20th century, although many efforts were made before that? Neither war, nor deportation and genocide, nor repression, bribery, flattery and unionism could kill the spirit of the freedom-loving Nation. An example for Ukrainians: Chechens remember their heroes, their traditions and their wrongdoers. From a young age, every Chechen feels like a warrior who respects the Koran, Family, Freedom, Honour and Weapons. These people respect themselves, honour their Elders and can stand up for their people in such a way that the “civilization” of Laptyosh is forced to reckon with them.
The latest events once again demonstrated to the world that the Chechens are a Nation, not a national minority on the territory of Russia, they demonstrated strength of spirit and aspiration for freedom, proving that numbers are not strength (even elderly women came out to defend their state).
In November 1993, at the ABN (Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Peoples) Congress in Kyiv, I was lucky enough to meet a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the Republic of Ichkeria (Chechnya). In a conversation with me, he literally said the following: “If there were 50 million of us, like you, Ukrainians, no one in the world would dare to think of humiliating us or conquering us. We are ready for confrontation because we are aware that the highest price is worth paying for freedom. You, Ukrainians, seem to like “decisive” elections, meetings, etc., more than real struggle.” Then I imagined: what if there really were as many Chechens as Ukrainians, and what if Ukrainians had such pride, national dignity, solidarity and determination as Chechens…
Once again, we make sure that the external so-called “civilized” world is indifferent to enslaved nations. Reliance is possible only on one’s own strength.
Another lesson: Moscow is capable of any terrible actions to keep neighbouring nations in its orbit. The management of the FSK was punished “not for stealing, but for being caught.” Never since the time of Ivan Kalita has Moscow kept its promises and agreements (maybe except for the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact). Assurances and promises are worthless when they are made by Russia.
Definitely. Chechnya will win the fight. As long as there is at least one Chechen alive, capable of holding a machine gun, imperialism will not pass! And this is the most important lesson.
