Anti-imperial Block of Nations

This Saturday, the ABN Committee of Canada proudly hosted the first Anti-Imperial Block of Nations conference in Toronto since 1986.
The conference, entitled “Responding to Rupture: Russia, Global Power Shifts, and Democratic Strategy,” brought together policymakers, academics, journalists, representatives of captive nations, and members of the Ukrainian Canadian community for an important discussion on the future of regional security, decolonization, democratic resilience, and the evolving geopolitical landscape.
The event featured distinguished speakers and panelists from Canada, the United States, Ukraine, and partner organizations who examined Russia’s ongoing aggression, the role of captive nations in shaping the future of their nations, hybrid threats, information warfare, democratic strategy, and the importance of coordinated Western support for Ukraine and national liberation movements.
Importantly, this conference marked not only a return to Toronto after four decades, but also a continuation of the historic mission of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations and its modern successor, the Anti-Imperial Bloc of Nations. At a time of renewed imperial aggression and global instability, the principles of freedom, national self-determination, and solidarity among oppressed peoples remain as relevant as ever.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers, delegates, volunteers, partners, and attendees who contributed to the success of this important gathering.
Special thank you to our international guests, including Anti-imperial Bloc of Nations President Oleh Medunytsya and the President of the Ukrainian World Congress Paul Grod, representatives of the national movements of captive nations whose participation reinforced the importance of international cooperation in confronting authoritarianism and supporting democratic futures.
