Anti-imperial Block of Nations

One page of history weighs more than a textbook of logic. As if confirming this thesis, the activities of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists demonstrated a true manifestation of internationalism, whereas the Communist Party of the USSR, which everywhere and always emphasized its ” proletarian internationalism “, turned out to be the most brutal system of imperialist exploitation of enslaved nations.

Nothing is surprising in this. The leaders of the OUN understood very well that it was possible to free  Ukraine from the bear hugs of the empire only under the conditions of the joint liberation of all nations enslaved by Moscow.

Instead, the Communist Party of the USSR hid the desire for world domination behind the slogans of ” proletarian internationalism “, which does not exist in the real world. If the communist plans were implemented, the handful of usurpers who sat in the Kremlin and called themselves the ” dictatorship of the proletariat ” would turn all the nations of the world into slaves.

During the Second World War, all the nations of Eastern Europe were under the control of the totalitarian regimes of Hitler or Stalin. It was then that the call of the Revolutionary (Banderiv OUN) for the joint struggle of all nations enslaved by totalitarianism, for liberation and the creation of independent national states was heard.

The OUN (r) set the goal of ” complete implementation of the idea of free national states of all the nations of the world, for the elimination of all imperialism from international life .” (P. Poltava. Who are the people of Bandera and what are they fighting for. – Drohobych: Renaissance, reprint reproduction of the 1950 edition, 1991. – C.16).

In order to realize this, the OUN (b) began an active educational programme among all nations enslaved by  Moscow and the Third Reich. In those circumstances, the main means of communicating information was the printed word. To inform the nations of the USSR, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army issued leaflets and appeals in Uzbek, Georgian, Russian, Azerbaijani and many other languages. The appeals always took into account the features of the national character, history and other specifics of the addressees.

The information was primarily intended for army soldiers and representatives of the occupation administration of the USSR and the Third Reich. The information war turned out to be so effective that the UPA formed Tatar, Georgian, Armenian, Uzbek, Azerbaijani and other units. At the beginning of 1944, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army consisted of 15 battalions of representatives of nations enslaved by Moscow. All of them were led by compatriots and fought under their own national flags.

In addition, many Czechs, Italians,  Greeks, Germans, Russians and other nations who did not have national divisions fought in the UPA. Due to the harsh conditions of the partisan war, a detailed account of the UPA personnel was not kept, but according to some data, in 1943 up to 20,000 insurgents did not belong to the Ukrainian nation.

The total number of fighters of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army remains a subject of dispute among historians. Numbers from 20 to 400 thousand soldiers are named. Probably the number of UPA was at least 100 thousand insurgents. If we accept this point of view, then every fifth UPA fighter was not Ukrainian. This testifies to the colossal effectiveness of information warfare by the Ukrainian liberation movement.

The anti-imperialist activities of the UPA were not limited to the distribution of relevant literature. On 21-22 November 1943,   a secret Conference of Enslaved Nations of Eastern Europe and Asia was held in the Rivne region under the auspices of the UPA. Among the 39 delegates from 13 nations, there were 6 Georgians, five representatives of Ukrainians and Uzbeks, 4 Azerbaijanis, a Tatar and the same number of Armenians, two Ossetians and Belarusians, and one representative each from the Bashkirs, Chuvash,  Kabardians and  Kazakhs. The Conference was conducted by Rostyslav Voloshyn (pseudonym “Professor Stetsenko”). UPA Commander-in-Chief Roman Shukhevich took an active part in the activities of the Conference.

Gestapo units tried to prevent the Conference of Enslaved Nations of Eastern Europe and Asia, but UPA units neutralized the intentions of Hitler’s special services.

Stalin’s punishers also tried to stand in the way of the liberation movement of the nations enslaved by the USSR. The NKVD intensified the activities of provocateurs in the territories controlled by the UPA.

To counteract the subversive activities of the Stalinists, the insurgent security service issued a directive to suspend the formation of international units of the UPA. Instead, they began to create groups of representatives of nations enslaved by Moscow, who were sent to their native lands to wage a national liberation struggle. In the circumstances of communist totalitarianism, this tactic was not effective.

In addition, to coordinate efforts in the liberation struggle, the UPA carried out raids in Slovakia, Romania and Belarus, and established contacts with the liberation movement of the  Baltic countries.

The logical continuation of this political direction was the creation in 1946 of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Peoples (ABN)  led by Yaroslav Stetsko, and later by his wife, Yaroslava Stetsko. In 1966, the ABN, together with the Anti-Communist League of the Nations of Asia, created the World Anti-Communist League, which stood in the way of attempts by Moscow communism to establish its puppet governments in  Latin America, Asia and Africa.

Today, Ukraine is waging the third liberation war against Moscow imperialism in the last century. In order to win in the unequal struggle against the Russian Federation armed with atomic bombs, Ukraine must restore the good old tradition of the joint liberation struggle of nations.

The UPA Address to the representatives of the nations of Central Asia, Siberia and   Idel-Urals

Some steps in the direction of the anti-imperialist solidarity struggle have already been taken, but much remains to be done. Only with the realization of the slogans of the UPA: “Freedom for Nations” Freedom for the Individual! For free national states of enslaved nations! “, the true liberation of nations from colonial dependence will become possible.

Ukraine must turn into a locomotive of the national liberation struggle of the enslaved nations of the world, just as the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations once became the vanguard of the resistance of many nations to communist totalitarianism.
