The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, demanded from the UN rostrum the complete and unconditional withdrawal of Russian troops from the left bank of the River Dniester, Moldpres reports.
In her speech at the 77th UN General Assembly, Maia Sandu called for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
She stressed that the illegal presence of Russian troops in the Transnistrian region violates neutrality and increases security risks for Moldova.
“We demand the withdrawal of Russian troops from the left bank of the River Dniester and the destruction of ammunition in the warehouses in Cobasna,” the head of state said.
The Government of Independent Tatarstan in Exile fully supports the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu. Transnistria must be demilitarized, and Russian troops must immediately leave Moldovan territory.
