The Russian authorities, represented by Putin and Medvedev’s telegram, like to annoy the civilized world with ghosts of “red lines” that cannot be crossed in support of Ukraine. One of their “arguments” is that the West may receive unexpected blows in sensitive parts of the world. In this way, Putin activated Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Yemeni Houthi movement, which threatened Israel, as well as world shipping and trade. These reflex convulsions were neutralized. Moreover, there was an unexpected answer. Syrian rebels against the pro-Iranian and pro-Moscow regime of Bashar al-Assad suddenly went on the offensive in Syria.
The result – a pile of captured Russian weapons, killed and captured Russian mercenaries. The territories the Russians helped to recapture from the rebels four years ago have been liberated. In a panic, Assad flew to Moscow to ask Putin for help. But Putin is tied up in Ukraine. How will he help them? Areshnik?
He appreciated Erdogan’s game. It is with the help of the Turks this offensive is taking place now. They let down their vigilance, made diplomatic bows to Assad, used the economic problems of the Russians, and trained and armed their proxy army. Which is now disposing of Russian weapons in real time on an industrial scale.
The successes of the Syrian insurgents became possible, among other things, due to the massive and unexpected use of drones operated by well-trained crews. We can only guess who participated in their preparation. This tactic made a demoralizing impression on Moscow’s Syrian allies. Their retreat has already turned into a panicked flight. The reaction of the Russian military media, where open disappointment with Turkey and recognition of their own helplessness reigns at the moment, is indicative.
The Russians are used to using hybrid weapons against their rivals. Now “for their rye (meaning harvest) they will be beaten.” The Kremlin was not ready for such challenges. And what is now happening in Syria brings our victory closer. We wish the Syrian insurgents success.
Glory to Ukraine!
