On the eve of Freedom Day, the Belarusian House in Warsaw hosted a lecture by Zenon Poznyak “106th anniversary of the independence of the BPR. A Historical role and significance.”
The leader of the “Free Belarus” movement, Zenon Poznyak, ended the historical excursion with a forecast that, due to the regime of Lukashenko and Putin, unfortunately, victims and difficulties still await us. But, according to the politician, in the end, a bright future awaits Belarusians:
“Everything will be reborn, but it will be reborn forever. Because our nation, having gone through this decline, this savagery, having such a history, the history of such a struggle, the history of our culture, the history of such a state, will never perish. Our future will be wonderful. Let’s be optimistic! We will all believe in this and try to help. And let Freedom Day be our ideal!”
After the event, “Nasha Niva” was able to ask the politician one question: what exactly is the best thing for caring Belarusians to do for this revival in the conditions of unabated repression and war in Ukraine, as well as Putin’s victory in the elections in Russia.
“Belarusian patriots, if they are men and have health, should go to Kalinovsky’s regiment. You need to fight and learn to shoot. There is a world war going on. It is necessary to create a Belarusian liberation army. This is what you need if you are healthy and young. I am 80 years old (Zenon Poznyak will celebrate his 80th birthday on April 24 – “NN”), if I weren’t 80, I might have gone too. I would go now, but they won’t accept me,” the politician commented.
