Nataliya Filonova is a human rights activist and journalist from Buryatia, who opposed the mobilization of Buryats to participate in the war with Ukraine. For her courageous stand, she was arrested during a peaceful protest and sentenced to almost three years in prison.
Natalia defended her people, speaking out against an unjust war, and for that she became a victim of persecution. She refused any compromises with the authorities and pleaded not guilty.
