Anti-imperial Block of Nations

At first glance, it may seem that what has been said differs little from the report of any other nation enslaved by Moscow, which wants to build its own national project through a sense of resentment. In fact, the message of this report has a completely different task. Of course, I share the grief and sadness over the fate of our nation, over the disasters and oppression inflicted on them throughout history. But I am also aware that it was the Cossacks who became the core people of the new Russian statehood, at the dawn of its formation. It was the Cossacks who conquered the Volga and Yaik (modern Ural), Siberia and the Far East. It was the Cossacks (Dnieper and Don) who mastered the Kuban and Terek and fought on the side of Russia in the Caucasian wars of the 19th century. It was the outstanding people from the Cossack and Ukrainian (Cossack-Rusyn) nations, who often took a lively and active part in the creation of what is today called Russian culture. Gogol, Chekhov and Sholokhov, Chayakovsky, Mayakovsky and Burliuk, Ilf and Petrov are just the most famous names that are well known. How many outstanding commanders, generals and administrators, representatives of the Cossack elders of the Hetmanate actually formed the bones of the Russian project? In the end, even the “Russian” project itself is a Ukrainian project, invented by Ukrainians and nurtured by them. Orthodoxy, as the main core of culture and statehood, was also originally inherent in the Dnieper Cossacks, who fought under the banner of the cross and Archangel Michael.

Only by recognizing that our nations (Ukrainians and Kazarla) spent their best, freshest and most passionate forces on someone else’s project, the Russian project, can we better understand what we really want and what we need to do for this. It is not resentment that drives us in this way, but only the desire to finally find ourselves and stop serving other people’s dreams and plans. We’ve had enough of Moscow and its outdated, rotten “Russian world”! We will build our own Cossack world on principles that are fairer and more understandable for us, representatives of various Cossack nations, from Ukrainians to the Far Eastern Kazarla.

We are not interested in regional, one might say provincial, small and notorious projects of the nations’ republics. We are not concerned about the construction of the next appendages to the strategic projects of the great powers. That is why we choose Cossackia, and not Kuban or Don, in our modern borders. We are driven not just by the desire to get an independent country for our people. Not at all. Our thoughts are directed into the distance – we are interested in building a new security system in the region, which would be built on the semi-steppe traditions of Freedom and Strength, on the Cossack spirit, and would be united into a single geopolitical space by the Cossack nations, Ukrainians and Kazarla, together with other nations of the steppe and mountains.

Cossackia is our goal! Our motto is the Cossackian will!
