In the Atesh partisan movement, they stated that new supporters are joining them every day from among the residents of cities in the south of the aggressor country of Russia, who oppose the war unleashed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

As   Atesh claims, “the south of Russia is rising up against the war.” In particular, residents of Krymsk, Elista, and other cities in the south of the Russian Federation.

“People are tired of the criminal war that is taking their sons and destroying the future,” reads a post on the Atesh Telegram channel on 9 October.

According to the partisans, the population of the southern regions of the Russian Federation is seeing with their own eyes the consequences of the war against Ukraine.

“Overcrowded hospitals, funerals in every district, impoverishment of the population. This forces them to act,” Atesh claims, also publishing photos of posted resistance leaflets.

The partisans also called on the Russians to “make their contribution to the fight against the regime.” Provide data on military facilities, locations of equipment deployments, and information on troop movements.
