The first meeting of the restored Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the preparation and preliminary consideration of issues of the state policy of Ukraine regarding interaction with national movements of small and indigenous nations of the Russian Federation was held.
I have the honour to be elected secretary of this TSC, which has 22 deputies from different factions and groups in its renewed composition and sets ambitious tasks for itself. Ukraine has great potential for interaction with the national movements of enslaved nations. The future of Ukraine, and not only Ukraine, depends to a large extent on whether we do not squander it.
Our TSC appealed today to the leadership and the parliamentary Conciliation Council with an appeal to immediately submit to the plenary session and adopt the draft law No. 11402 “On the Basic Principles of the State Policy of Ukraine Regarding Interaction with the National Movements of the Colonial Peoples of the Russian Federation”, developed by us and submitted by about 80 deputies.
