The attempted armed coup by Yevgeny Prigozhin is a continuation of a series of internal political conflicts in Russia. In general, what is happening there is the consequences of Russia’s criminal large-scale invasion of Ukraine. We saw the unwillingness of security forces and officials of various ranks to publicly defend Putin’s regime, not a single citizen of the Russian Federation voluntarily came to Putin’s defense.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the national telethon.
— The ease with which the situation destabilized, when many events took place in one day, so many losses in the army of the Russian Federation, demonstrates that all their truly effective forces are located in the occupied territories of Ukraine. And inside Moscow, the regime does not control the situation – the monopoly on violence has collapsed, the principle of inevitability of punishment and many other aspects have been destroyed, – noted the representative of the GUR of the MOU.
Andriy Yusov emphasized that today it is important to understand that this process is not yet complete. The announced and real goals of Prigozhin’s trip to Moscow could differ greatly, as well as the announced and real conditions of the agreements. It is necessary to observe further events, in particular personnel changes in the territory of Moscow region, the fate of the participants in these processes, then it will become clear who actually benefited from this.
— Putin has lost the image of a man who at least controls this vast territory, including nuclear weapons or financial matters. Everyone was convinced that both the king was naked and the house of cards. Of course, this will have further catastrophic consequences for Putin’s regime, – concluded Andriy Yusov.
