Anti-imperial Block of Nations

During the night of 10 September 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port in russian-occupied Dagestan. A fire was reported at the site.

The extent of the damage is being assessed.

Background. The Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port is the only ice-free deep-water port of the russian federation on the Caspian Sea and an important transport and logistics hub.

The port plays a key role in the russia–Iran logistics corridor across the Caspian Sea, which is used to circumvent Western sanctions. The route is used for military-related deliveries in both directions: from Iran to the russian federation — components and Shahed-type attack UAVs; and from the russian federation to Iran — explosives, components for unmanned systems and ammunition. A russian Caspian Flotilla base is located near the port.

In addition, following an analysis of additional data, strikes on 9 September 2026 were confirmed to have hit fuel oil storage facilities in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, russian federation, as well as at least three enemy warships: the Zheleznyakov-class small minesweeper, the Admiral Essen frigate, and the Project 11711 Pyotr Morgunov large landing ship.

Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing.

To be continued!
