Russia uses American online store to buy weapons components – media

Russian distributors have started using the Texas Instruments online store to buy American chips and microcircuits for weapons production. Russian websites getchips.ru and altchips.ru sell these products at a 40% markup. It was found that Russian portals gain access to full information using the Texas Instruments API, which allows viewing prices and availability of goods. However, the company warns that it does not share its API with Russian companies, and all companies that have access to it are subject to verification. It was also found that in addition to Russian websites, the goods are received by intermediaries from Hong Kong, who deliver them to Russia through the Sea Global SCM company and the Aeroflot airline. Texas Instruments chips have been found in Russian army missiles and drones. Of all the weapons received since the beginning of the conflict, 14% of the components were manufactured by Texas Instruments.
