This is reported by LRT, writes “European Truth”.
From Monday to Friday this week, military exercises will be held in 12 Lithuanian municipalities in the southeastern part of the country – including near Vilnius – during which they will practice responding to various types of military threats.
The manoeuvres involve the use of drones, boats, and various weapons systems, but there will be no firing of simulated ammunition.
The military will train during daylight and darkness and may travel on roads in military equipment or civilian vehicles, the army warned.
In August, the Baltic Air Forces conducted sea survival exercises.
As a reminder, the Polish Foreign Minister called on NATO to intensify exercises near the Kaliningrad region of Russia.
