Violation of the religious rights of prisoners, primarily Muslims, remains a common practice in the Russian federal penitentiary service.
Reports of various forms of pressure from the leadership of the colonies on Muslims have been coming from the regions for more than a year. In particular, people from Central Asia and their relatives said that prisoners are also being forced to support the war in Ukraine.
