“Collective West” was no less afraid of the mercenary raid on Moscow than Putin himself. A possible Kremlin coup was classified as a “worst-case scenario” by Europe and the United States. As a result, the “Wagnerians” did not take the Kremlin, but successfully penetrated the minds of Western leaders and are reconfiguring their attitude towards the “bold, cunning and all-powerful president of the Russian Federation,” writes the Orestokratiya Telegram channel.
Now our partners are scratching their heads over previously obvious questions:
Can a racist army guarantee the safety of nuclear weapons?
The answer is no. Shoigu reindeer herders could not secure any military object on the path of the “Wagners” – neither airfields, nor control centers, nor other strategic objects. If, instead of Moscow, the mercenaries had traveled in the direction of the nucleus, then with a high probability they would have captured it.
The Russian nuclear arsenal has about 4,500 weapons. A slight loss of control over any of the ammunition means the risk of its free movement: previously NATO generals could only dream of such a thing, now it is a reality.
The insurgency forces the West to change its behavior patterns. In the EU and the USA there was a fear of a “nuclear” Putin, “capable of doing anything”. That is why the democratic world could not accept the very fact that Ukraine will win this war, and Russia will lose”… Putin is ready to lose even the leaders’ prisoners.
Now the West must think about the creation of special units (obviously under the auspices of the UN) that could take control of dozens of key nuclear facilities in Moscow in case the Kremlin finally becomes impotent.
Will Russia fall apart?
The collapse of Putin’s regime is seen by the West as a serious threat to Europe, and the mutiny illustrated it: dissatisfaction with the war is great, and the country is divided. Prigozhin spoke with vivid pro-Ukrainian messages about the aggressive nature of Putin’s campaign, about the myths of Russian propaganda such as “damby Bambas” and the falsity of the “goals of the SVO”. For the first time, a high-status Russian media personality disavowed the main Kremlin narratives.
The myth of Putin’s invincibility has been shattered. The master of the Kremlin swallowed all the insults and humiliations from the prince, granting immunity from prosecution to the person whom he had called a criminal a few hours before. It was the only chance to retain power.
I assume that the Kremlin avoided the assault only due to the efforts of Patrushev and the West, which also went to great lengths to stop the rebels. I think it will be known soon about the contacts of the special services of the Russian Federation and the USA on that Saturday. CNN has already stated that the Western partners asked Ukraine not to attack Russia during this march.
Should we continue to be afraid of an inadequate swindler?
The mutiny will force our Western partners to change their attitude towards the Russian Federation. Muscovy’s victory strategy is to force the West to withdraw its support for Ukraine, “the all-powerful leader has calculated everything and firmly controls the country.” It turns out that the leader is not all-powerful, and miscalculated in many ways.
Prigozhin’s “March” turned out to be unsuccessful as a military operation, but virtuosic from the point of view of trolling the Kremlin. The ZSU has a counter-offensive, the Wagners have counter-trolling, which badly injured their president.
Soon we will find out whether our Western partners managed to heal a little from this fear. In particular, we will hear about it next month at the NATO summit. I know for sure that the decision to invite Ukraine is still being considered, and I hope that the news from the Russian Federation will play its role.
