On the sidelines, they spoke with European and American partners about the West’s big mistake in their new fascination with “good Russians.” They do not exist in nature. There is no opposition and public activists there! In Ukraine, an active part of society is fighting for our independence. In Kyiv, the opposition, and the people in 2004 and 2014 took to the streets to protest against the kleptocratic government. In Georgia, the opposition and the active part of society are now on the barricades. The Russian “liberals” who are glamorous to the point of vulgarity and who roam the world’s capitals in search of grants are no opposition.
They bear full responsibility for the absence of civil society in Russia and the cementing of Putin’s regime. I see great danger in these naive attempts of the West to “humanize Russia”, saying that there is not only Putin there but also good Russians. When the aggressor is made into a victim, this leads to impunity. Russia must answer for its crimes, and all Russians without exception must repent for the war unleashed by their country.
They couldn’t resist telling Navalny on the sidelines – shame! She blinked in surprise and fear. This woman is never ashamed of Russia. With all the unconditional respect for the organizers of the summit, important discussions and excellent organization, a good Russian at the conservative congress is unnecessary
