In the context of Aliyev and Zelensky’s strong condemnation of Russia’s attacks on the SOCAR oil depot in the Odessa region, which belongs to Azerbaijan, as well as the gas infrastructure through which gas from Azerbaijan passes, the Azerbaijani publication Caliber, citing its sources, reports that if the Russian Federation continues its aggression against Azerbaijan’s interests, Baku will begin considering the issue of lifting the embargo on arms supplies from its arsenals to Ukraine.
If we add to these attacks on Azerbaijani strategic business 5 incidents – in Romania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Great Britain – with the deliberate contamination of Azerbaijani oil with chlorine while it is being transported through Russian territory (experts say that for this the Russians need only pour several tanks of chlorine into the oil pipeline at the relevant sections), Azerbaijan is very angry with Putin.
Plus, the Kremlin is stubbornly trying to interfere in Azerbaijani-Armenian relations and the conclusion of a bilateral agreement with the assistance of Trump. Most likely, this is aimed at complicating or even making impossible the joint activities of the US, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey in the Zangezur transport corridor (which would deprive Russia of billions of dollars in revenues and a logistics monopoly in the region).
So it is possible that the matter may not be limited to opening its own arsenals to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After all, Azerbaijan may well increase Turkish capabilities purely to take revenge on Russia.
