On 13 September, during the so-called SVO, the genocidal war of aggression of Russia against Ukraine and against the nations enslaved by Moscow, the last representative of the indigenous people of Russia, the Kereks, was allegedly killed.
In nature, even endangered, small animal species are saved by the whole world, but here they deliberately threw the last Kerek into the deadly meat grinder – 56-year-old Ivan Taymagyr, a suicide soldier from the infamous 610th Separate Marine Brigade.
Before the Russian occupation, Kerek settlements spread along the Chukchi coast of the Bering Sea, from the Anadyr Estuary to the mouth of the Puka River, as well as to Cape Olyutorsky in Kamchatka.
The people were divided into groups of northern (Navarin, or Meynipilgin, actual name ийулалҕакку — upper) and southern (Khatyr, actual name ютилалҕакку — lower) Kereks.
In harsh polar conditions, with difficult living conditions, but on their own land and according to their own customs.
But the insatiable joiners came and the kereks began to melt like summer snow.
In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Kereks were usually classified as Koryaks. According to the 1897 census, there were 102 Kereks.
Now we have finished the last one.
There were kereks, and they will probably remain only in rock paintings and carvings on bones and wood.
Despite the rampant Russification and the constant bantering of everyone under the same banner, “You are all Chukchi and non-Russians here,” representatives of this people preserved their language, even had dialects, and stubbornly called themselves Kerek during censuses, even when the name of the people was not on the questionnaire.
It has no more kereks.
Denazified and demilitarized to the core.
The situation is similar to other enslaved nations that Putin is crushing in this war. Even a cursory analysis shows that the level of losses among the conquered nations is many times higher than that of the colonialists.
Therefore, for Putin, this is also a war literally to the last representative of the enslaved people…
