A discussion was held in Vilnius about what unites and distinguishes the two Tatar nations — the Crimean and Lithuanian Tatars. The participants of the round table discussed historical roots, cultural memory, lost and preserved traditions, as well as modern projects that help strengthen the connection between peoples today and heard the opinions of researchers and cultural bearers from Lithuania and Ukraine. Is Crimea a common point of cultural and spiritual identity for both communities? What have both peoples managed to preserve and what have they lost over centuries of living in different conditions? These and other topics were commented on by Delfi interlocutors — public figure Refat Chubarov, cultural scientist Yelnara Churlu, political scientist Adas Jakubauskas and musician, researcher of Crimean Tatar culture Usein Bekirov.
