Anti-imperial Block of Nations

The St. Petersburg City Court liquidated the local Estonian cultural society at the request of the regional department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. According to information on the official website of the St. Petersburg Society of Estonian Culture, it was founded in 1992 and was engaged in preserving the ethnic identity of Estonians living in the city, the Estonian language and national traditions, and maintained ties with Estonia in the fields of culture, science and art. The society operated language courses, a mixed choir, a folklore group, and until the beginning of 2021, the newspaper Peterburi Teataja (“Petersburg Bulletin”) was published.
