Petro Poltava (Fedun)
A WORD ABOUT THE BOOK AND ITS AUTHOR
Dear reader!
Again, for the second time, we give you this book with the publishing mark “Renaissance”. True, we do not know at all which people, where, how many times it was printed and reprinted from the beginning of writing until one of the copies illegally reached us. At the beginning of 1991, we printed it in an edition of 30,000 in Klaipeda and transported it to Drohobych on roads confused by the KGB.
Also, we can only guess about the fate of this particular gift copy, imagine the moment when, having overcome thousands of obstacles, the book made its way into the hands of the Guide, to whom the Author’s dedication is addressed.
But who is the Author, where and how was the book born? We already have some information about the Author: Petro Poltava, real name Petro Fedun, comes from the village of Shnyrova of Brodiv district in Lviv region…
He became a legend from that spring day in 1944, when, grabbing an embroidered shirt, he left his native house for the last time in the forest. Then there were crossings and raids, bunkers and checkpoints. Proclamations, articles, theoretical works, which I don’t know how have been preserved around the world and are already beginning to return to us with the history of national liberation struggles. We also have very scant information about UPA major Petro Poltava during the whirlwind of insurgent campaigns in the winter of 1951-1952. And then – obscurity and legend…
Other works of Peter Poltava were not republished in Ukraine. The following quotations are presented as they were printed by Derzhavnist magazine, No. 3 for 1992.
“When the Ukrainian people gain their independent national state, they will be at the forefront of the struggle for the widest cooperation between all the peoples of the world.”
“… Only the division of Russia into separate national states will forever make impossible the revival of the most reactionary Russian imperialism, which for many centuries has been the greatest threat and shame to the world.”
“Why is a mandatory political association necessary for the implementation of the idea of economic cooperation? There are no objective obstacles to implementing the idea of close economic cooperation in the system of free national states.”
Let’s listen to the voice of Peter Poltava, let’s ask. These thoughts, predictions and conclusions were crystallized by him in the harsh conditions of the underground dozens of years ago, and how modern they sound today!
Petro Poltava predicted our bright day with extreme optimism when he wrote about comrades, “whose death today, however paradoxically, means that our complete victory will be tomorrow.”

THE BOLSHEVIST OPPRESSORS ARE AFRAID THAT THE PEOPLE’S MASSES OF THE USSR KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BANDERS
In all of Ukraine, and perhaps in the entire Soviet Union, there is probably not a single person who would not have heard anything today about the anti-Bolshevik liberation struggle that has been going on for six[1] years, mainly in Western Ukraine regions, led by the Ukrainian people. In all of Ukraine, and perhaps in the entire Soviet Union today, there is probably not a single such person who has not heard anything about the people of Bandera. Even the Bolshevik oppressors could not hide the heroic struggle of millions from the masses of the people of the Soviet Union. The news about this struggle spread all over the vast Soviet spaces in various ways, and today almost all Soviet people know about it.
Although today almost all Soviet people have heard about us, the people of Bandera, about our anti-Bolshevik liberation struggle, they do not always know the truth about us. Many Soviet people, who believe in Bolshevik propaganda, think that we, the people of Bandera, are really “Ukrainian-German nationalists”, that is, Hitler’s, or, as the Bolsheviks are recently lying, Anglo-American agents, that we are really “Kurkuls” or “bourgeois” ”, that we are really “bandits”, and that is the only reason we sit in the forest and stay underground, that we are “afraid of popular justice”.
All this that the Bolshevik propaganda says about us is the most shameless, cynical and vile lie. The Bolshevik enemies of the people spread these lies about us in order to hide from the masses of the people of the Soviet Union the true national and social liberation character of our movement. They are specifically afraid that the masses of the people of the Soviet Union, having learned the true goals of our struggle, its progressive, national-liberation character, will not be infected with revolutionary, Banderian ideas and will not themselves follow the example of the Ukrainian people on the path of liberation anti-Bolshevik struggle. The Bolshevik imperialists understand that this would mean the end of their rule over the peoples of the Soviet Union, their death. In order to prevent this from happening, so that they can continue to oppress and exploit dozens of peoples of the Soviet Union, hundreds of millions of workers, with impunity, the Bolshevik thugs, on the one hand, are making every effort to physically destroy all the participants of our liberation-revolutionary movement, to destroy our underground revolutionary organization , and, on the other hand, do not stop before even the most disgusting slander, before any lies,
But in the long run, the Bolshevik thugs will not be able to do this. Just as they did not succeed in hiding from the people of the Soviet Union the very fact of our anti-Bolshevik struggle, no matter how much they fought and are fighting for it, so they will not succeed in hiding from the Soviet people the truth about the true nature of our movement for a long time . No matter what measures the Bolsheviks take, the truth about us, the people of Bandera, the truth about the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people will always make its way to the Soviet masses. “You won’t get far with a lie,” says a Ukrainian folk proverb.
To briefly tell the Soviet people the truth about us, the people of Bandera, about our liberation and revolutionary movement is the very task of this brochure.
BANDERIVTS – CONSISTENT FIGHTERS FOR THE LIBERATION OF THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE
Banderivtsi is, in recent times, a commonly used, popular name for all participants in the insurgent and underground liberation struggle, which was raised by the Ukrainian people against the Germans during the Nazi occupation and which it continues to wage against the Bolshevik invaders since 1944. This name was formed from the surname of the glorious son of the Ukrainian people, a long-time revolutionary fighter for the freedom and state independence of Ukraine, the head of the revolutionary Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) – Stepan Bandera.
The Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, led by Stepan Bandera, is on Ukrainian soil the only consistent implementer of the idea, the revolutionary, uncompromising struggle of the Ukrainian people against all occupiers for their national will and independence. The OUN always waged the most radical anti-occupation struggle in the period before 1939. Only we, the people of Bandera, organized an active revolutionary struggle against the Bolshevik invaders in 1939–41. In June 1941, after the retreat of the Ukrainian part of the Bolshevik army, the OUN led by S. Bandera formed the Government and proclaimed the independence of the Ukrainian State (June 30, 1941 ) When the Germans took a hostile position to this Act, when they arrested the head of the OUN S. Bandera, the Government headed by Prime Minister Ya. Stetsk and many other leading Ukrainian revolutionaries, the OUN led by S. Bandera, immediately led against Hitler’s active first underground, and from the autumn of 1942 – insurgent struggle. Since 1944, that is, since the next occupation of all Ukrainian lands by the Moscow-Bolshevik imperialists, the OUN, led by S. Bandera, is the only organized independent political force on Ukrainian lands. She was the only one who remained with the people on the battlefield in the difficult conditions of the Bolshevik occupation and, walking in the vanguard of the liberation struggle against the Bolshevik invaders, has been devotedly serving the cause of liberating Ukraine from the rule of the occupiers for six years. In a fierce struggle, the OUN, led by S. Bandera, has not only withstood the frenzied attacks of the enemy for six years, but has also launched a successful offensive in many areas of our revolutionary front.
The ideological and political face of the people of Bandera is one. However, according to their organizational and party affiliation, the Banders are either a) members of the OUN led by S. Bandera, or b) non-party Ukrainian patriots who fight for the freedom and state independence of Ukraine both in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and in the revolutionary underground . The UPA emerged in 1942 as part of the Ukrainian people’s massive national struggle against the Nazi invaders. The OUN, led by S. Bandera, was the initiator, first organizer and head of the UPA. From the beginning of its formation until today, the UPR Army is commanded by one of the most prominent Ukrainian revolutionaries, a long-time underground fighter for the will of the Ukrainian people – General Taras Chuprinka[2].
The supreme leadership of the entire liberation and revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people is carried out by the Ukrainian Main Liberation Council (UGVR) – the revolutionary Parliament and Government of the Ukrainian people during its liberation struggle. UGVR was formed in July 1944 in the conditions of the UPA’s anti-Hitler struggle. It consists of representatives of various Ukrainian independent parties and communities from all Ukrainian lands. The UGVRad is subordinate to the UPA, the entire Ukrainian revolutionary underground, it includes the OUN led by S. Bandera, it is supported by the entire Ukrainian people, who are waging an active anti-Bolshevik struggle.
WHY DO WE BANDERS CALL OURSELVES NATIONALISTS?
We, people of Bandera, call ourselves nationalists because the central place in our ideology is the doctrine of the nation. According to this doctrine, we, nationalists, in contrast to Marxists and Bolsheviks, consider specifically that: a) a people, a nation is the highest and strongest type of human community – higher and stronger than a social class; b) in the international context, the subjects of history are peoples, nations, and not social classes; c) peoples, nations are not a historically transitional phenomenon, characteristic only of the era of capitalism, but a phenomenon characteristic of all socio-economic formations; in the period of capitalism, as a result of the enormous development of civilizational and cultural living conditions, nations as human communities have only unusually strengthened; d) only the national state provides the best conditions for the comprehensive development of the people; e) the best international system, which equally corresponds to the interests of individual peoples as well as to the interests of international cooperation and the establishment of true friendship between peoples, there is a system of free national states of all peoples of the world; f) the prerequisite for improving the fate of the working classes of the enslaved people is the national and political liberation of the entire people; g) in contrast to the Ukrainian Bolsheviks, who have the will of their Kremlin masters as their highest order, we, Ukrainian nationalists, have the good and happiness of the Ukrainian people as our highest order. We consider the struggle against the Moscow-Bolshevik occupiers and their Ukrainian agents, the Ukrainian Bolsheviks, for the national and social liberation of the Ukrainian people, for the construction of a truly independent Ukrainian national state, to be the highest and most important task of the Ukrainian people at the present moment.
UKRAINIAN NATIONALISTS ARE NOT CHAUVINISTS OR IMPERIALISTS
We, Ukrainian nationalists, are not chauvinists. Fighting for an independent Ukrainian state, we are fighting only for the realization by the Ukrainian people of those rights that have long been enjoyed by the vast majority of peoples of the world, and which (rights) have long been recognized as the natural rights of every people. By the way, our struggle is a legitimate struggle even from the point of view of Bolshevik laws: the USSR constitution provides for every nation the right to free exit from the USSR. We have sincere sympathy for all peoples of the world. We want to live in friendship and cooperation with all peoples of the world, including the Russian people, who will build their national state on their ethnographic lands. We are not fighting against our neighboring nations as a whole, but only against those imperialist forces that enslave us. We emphasize once again: all peoples, including the Russian and Polish peoples, we appreciate, respect and strive for real friendship and cooperation with them. We hate and fight only against those imperialist forces that enslave us or want to enslave us.
We, Ukrainian nationalists, are also not imperialists . We want to build an independent Ukrainian state only on ethnographic lands, that is, on lands where the majority of the Ukrainian people live. We do not encroach on a single piece of someone else’s territory. We are against all imperialism – against the enslavement of one people by another in any form, against imperialist wars and conquests, against multinational empires. We are for the fullest implementation of the ideas of free national states of all peoples of the world.
WE, THE PEOPLE OF BANDERA, HAVE NOT BEEN, ARE NOT AND WILL NOT BE ANYONE’S AGENCY
We, the people of Bandera, have never been, are not, and will never be anyone’s agency. In our struggle for the national and state independence of Ukraine, we focus only on the Ukrainian people’s own strengths.
In particular, we, the people of Bandera, have never cooperated with the Germans, as the Bolshevik enemies of the people lie about us. In our underground literature, we have already responded to this vile slander more than once. From the first days of the occupation of Ukraine by the Nazis, the OUN led by S. Bandera waged an active underground struggle against them. At the end of 1942, the OUN began to create armed groups to fight the Nazis. These armed groups gave rise to the UPArmy. During 1942-44, the UPA, which numbered many thousands, and the revolutionary underground of the OUN caused the Germans significant losses in people, property, and transport with their armed struggle. In 1943-44, the entire regions of Polissia, Volhynia, Carpathians, and separate forest areas of Galicia were under the exclusive control of the UPA. This struggle took place before the eyes and with the participation of the entire Ukrainian people. Every child in the western regions can tell about this struggle to anyone who is interested in it. every Ukrainian peasant woman. Numerous graves of revolutionaries and insurgents who fell in the fight against the Nazis testify to this struggle, not yet excavated by the Bolsheviks. This struggle is evidenced by the fact that thousands of Ukrainian revolutionaries led by S. Bandera, Ya. Stetsk and many other leading members of our movement ended up in Hitler’s prisons and concentration camps. In German prisons, from Gestapo bullets, in all the vast expanses of Ukraine, such leading Banderites as Ivan Klimiv-Legenda (Lviv), Dmytro Myron-Orlyk (Kyiv), Mykola Lemyk (Kharkiv region), Panteleimon Sak-Mohyla (Kyiv, originally from eastern regions), Serhiy Sherstyuk (Kryvyi Rih, originally from the eastern regions), and hundreds of others. For whom does the traitor Manuelsky have Soviet people, who dares to say that Bandera was imprisoned by the Germans “on his own will”.
Three years of underground and insurgent struggle against the Hitlerite occupiers are behind us, the people of Bandera. We shot at the Nazis as the occupiers of Ukraine and enemies of all freedom-loving peoples, and did not cooperate with them. This is known not only by the entire Ukrainian people, but also by the whole world.
WE, THE BANDERS, ARE FIGHTERS FOR THE INTERESTS OF THE WORKING MASSES, NOT DEFENDERS OF THE EXPLOITING CLASSES
The Bolshevik liars are trying to present us to the Soviet masses as defenders of the interests of the “Kurkuls” or “bourgeois”. This is also a vile lie. We have nothing in common with these classes either from the point of view of the goals of our struggle, or from the point of view of the social origin and class affiliation of the participants of our movement. When it comes to the social goals of our struggle, we, the people of Bandera, are fighting for the construction of a classless society. We are against the return to Ukraine of both landlords and capitalists. We are for the destruction of a new exploitative parasitic class in Ukraine – the class of Bolshevik nobles, composed of the leaders of the party, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration, and the army. We are in favor of public ownership of tools and means of production. We oppose collective farms because they appear to be tools of merciless exploitation of the peasantry by the Bolshevik ruling clique. Because they are the main cause of the need and death of the Ukrainian village. We want, so that in an independent Ukrainian state, the Ukrainian peasantry itself would freely decide on the form of land use [3]. So, bearing in mind exactly these social goals of our struggle, what kind of defenders of “Kurkulstva” or “bourgeoisie” can we be?
The same is the case when it comes to the social origin of the members of our movement. No one will find a “bourgeois” among us, even if they look for him with a candle in his hands. In general, the Western Ukrainian peasantry is mainly a small-land, or, at best, a middle-class peasantry. Landless and landless peasants, wage earners, middle peasants, workers, students, high school students, engineers, doctors, lawyers, teachers – these are the participants of our movement according to their social origin. Can we, sons of the working and exploited people, sons of peasants, workers, intellectuals, fight for the interests of the exploiting classes? Can we fight against our parents? Would the Ukrainian working masses support us so widely if we fought for goals hostile to them? It should be clear to every thinking person that it is not.
“At the same time, the OUN recognizes the right to public-cooperative and various union forms of land management, if they are built on the voluntary consent of the peasants and on their own labor.”
A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR PAST
Both the present and the past of the people of Bandera are glorious and heroic. Many of us, especially among the older revolutionaries, are long-term political prisoners of former Polish, Romanian, Hitlerite, Bolshevik prisons and concentration camps, often sentenced to life imprisonment. Many of them still have scars from prison chains. More than one of them had their ribs broken and their teeth knocked out by the Polish police, the Romanian police, the German Gestapo, and the Bolshevik Ministry of Internal Affairs. Many of us started the revolutionary, underground struggle against the occupiers when we were only 14-16 years old. Our best young years were spent in underground circles, in underground, revolutionary work. With the underground, with the revolutionary struggle, our most ardent youthful dreams, noblest youthful impulses are unleashed. Chased by the police, always threatened with prison, concentration camp, with a police bullet, the often materially disadvantaged Ukrainian revolutionary always courageously, with dedication and the highest devotion to the cause, heroically fulfilled his revolutionary duties: the duties of the front-line fighter of the revolution, the organizer and leader of the people in their struggle against the occupiers. Regardless of any difficulties or obstacles, we, the people of Bandera, were always among the people, among the masses, we brought them the revolutionary word of truth, supported them with our courageous, revolutionary action, and defended them against the terror of the occupiers. For the Ukrainian masses, the Ukrainian revolutionary has always been a model of the highest patriotism, courage, endurance, heroism, and the highest social and revolutionary virtues. That is why today people love us so much and support us in every possible way. with dedication and the highest devotion to the cause he heroically fulfilled his revolutionary duties: the duties of the front-line fighter of the revolution, the organizer and leader of the people in their struggle against the occupiers. ARE WE, THE UKRAINIAN REVOLUTIONARY AND REBELS, FIGHTING AGAINST THE BOLSHEVIST OPPRESSORS AND EXPLOITERS?
For some of the Soviet people, it may be unclear why we , the people of Bandera, are fighting against the Bolsheviks, against the Soviet government? After all, this is what some of the Soviet people deceived by Bolshevik propaganda might think – the Bolsheviks “resolved the national question in the best way in the world”, “built socialism”, “a genuine people’s democracy”.
Everything that Bolshevik propaganda says about the politics of the Bolshevik Party and the achievements of the Soviet government is also an insidious and impersonal lie. The truth about the Soviet Union is completely opposite to what the Bolshevik propaganda says about it.
We, the people of Bandera, are fighting against the Bolsheviks because they pursue a policy of brutal national oppression and economic exploitation both in relation to Ukraine and to all other non-Russian peoples of the USSR.
The Ukrainian people, like any other Soviet non-Russian people, do not have any national and political rights in the USSR, and are in a state of complete political enslavement. The so-called The Ukrainian SSR, like every other so-called the union republic, is essentially not an “independent state of the Ukrainian people”, as the Bolsheviks lie about it, but an ordinary administrative unit, an ordinary disenfranchised province of the Bolshevik empire. Neither the “supreme council” of the Ukrainian SSR, nor its “government” have even a shadow of the rights that these institutions in truly independent states usually enjoy. The so-called the sovereignty of the Union republics is not only a fiction, an empty phrase intended by the Bolsheviks to deceive the working masses of the Soviet Union and the whole world, a phrase that has not the slightest practical meaning. Neither the “supreme council” of the Ukrainian SSR nor its “government” can do anything independently, without the consent of the Moscow center. Ukrainian people, like every other non-Russian Soviet people in the system of the Bolshevik USSR, it is actually deprived of any opportunities for free expression of will, independent management of its affairs. The Bolshevik imperial center – Bolshevik Moscow – decides everything, according to its own imperialist interests, completely ignoring the needs of individual peoples, contrary to their most vital interests.
The Bolsheviks terribly exploit Ukraine , like every other so-called country. union republic, in economic terms. Kremlin imperialists use Ukraine primarily as a raw material base for industry in the central regions of Russia. Coal, cast iron, steel, bread, meat, vegetables are exported from Ukraine to the industrial regions of Russia, and complex machines, complex factory and factory equipment, textile products are imported from there. Complex mechanical engineering, modern chemical industry, and textile factories are not being developed in Ukraine at all. In Ukraine, for example, which is the most developed coal and metallurgical region of the USSR, the Bolsheviks planned to build the first automobile plant just in the fourth five-year plan. Doesn’t this mean that Ukraine is in the position of a colony in the system of the Bolshevik USSR!? It is a lie that “during the years of Soviet power, the Bolsheviks built a highly developed industry in Ukraine.”
In Ukraine, as in every other so-called the Union Republic, the Bolsheviks pursue a policy of brutal cultural oppression. During the years of Bolshevik rule in Ukraine, the Cheka, GPU, NKVD, Ministry of Internal Affairs, MGB destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian scientists – historians, linguists, literary experts, economists, destroyed hundreds of writers, poets, artists. Figures of Ukrainian culture are forbidden to create in a national, patriotic spirit. In this way, any development of Ukrainian culture was completely inhibited. All life in Ukraine is being Russified. In all administrative, cultural and economic institutions, in all universities and institutes, the Russian language actually dominates. The Russian language dominates in the army. It is inflicted on the Ukrainian people by methods of mediocre pressure. Russian-chauvinist, imperialist ideology is planted everywhere, every Ukrainian patriotic thought, every patriotic Ukrainian feeling is persecuted. In Russian-chauvinistic, the history of Ukraine, the history of Ukrainian culture is illuminated against the imperialist spirit, and admiration for the native past is fought. The Ukrainian press, radio, theater, literature, and science are completely at the service of the Russification policy of the Bolshevik enslavers in Ukraine. The entire cultural policy of the Bolshevik oppressors in Ukraine aims at the complete cultural assimilation of Ukraine with Russia, the complete elimination of the cultural separateness of the Ukrainian people.
The Bolsheviks are mass exterminating the Ukrainian people physically. Three times during their rule in Ukraine, they intentionally caused famine. To date, about eight million Ukrainians have fallen victim to this intentionally caused famine in Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men and women were deported to Siberia and Central Asia. Here they, being forced to live in the most terrible conditions, die en masse. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian patriots were destroyed by the Bolshevik oppressors in prisons, in exile, in concentration camps, shot, in direct struggle. Only in recent years, in the struggle against our liberation-revolutionary movement, they have destroyed several tens of thousands of Ukrainians.
This is what the Bolsheviks’ “best solution” to the “national question in the USSR” looks like in practice. Can we, Ukrainian patriots, calmly put up with such a state of affairs, or can we, Ukrainian patriots, not fight against the Bolshevik oppressors, when we see that they are preparing a complete atonement for Ukraine.
We are Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, fighting against the Bolsheviks because they established a regime of merciless social oppression and economic exploitation of the working masses in the USSR.The Bolsheviks are not building a classless society or “communism” in the USSR, but a new oppressive and exploitative social system. The place of the former exploiters-landlords and capitalists is occupied today by new social parasites-leaders of the Bolshevik Party, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration, and the army. These leaders have already clearly formed into a new exploitative class – the class of Bolshevik nobles. The basis of the formation of this new parasitic, exploitative class is its political privileges: the monopoly position of the Bolshevik Party, its unlimited power, the complete lack of control of the Communists by the masses. Having unlimited political rights and being, as a result, the unlimited master of all the wealth of the USSR, this class also ensured distinct economic advantages in Soviet society. Bolshevik nobles never lack anything, they have simply luxurious living conditions. At this time, when millions of working people live in extreme need, in hunger, the Bolshevik nobles, having set incredibly high salaries for themselves, have plenty of everything: they eat well, dress elegantly, live well, enjoy all the cultural entertainment and have fun. The Bolshevik nobles secured this profitable and luxurious life at the expense of the exploitation of the Soviet masses – at the expense of the exploitation of Soviet workers, collective farm workers, and the working intelligentsia. Marx’s words that “the accumulation of wealth at one pole is always accompanied by want at the other pole” are true not only when applied to capitalist society, but to the same extent when applied to today’s Soviet society. the Bolshevik nobles, having set incredibly high salaries for themselves, have plenty of everything: they eat well, dress elegantly, live well, enjoy all the cultural entertainment and amuse themselves to their heart’s content. Nowhere in the world do working people live in such economic need as in the USSR, in the country of supposedly “victorious socialism.” Nowhere in the world is the physical strength of working people exploited as much as in the USSR – in the supposedly “workers and peasants” state. Nowhere in the world are workers constrained by various laws, “norms,” ”plans,” and “obligations” as much as in the Soviet Union. The real wages of Soviet workers and employees are unusually low. It is not enough for even the meager living. Stakhanovism, social struggles, remove all physical strength from workers and collective farm workers. With high rates of supply, the Bolshevik nobles rob collective farm workers of all the products of their labor. High taxes, permanent and high loans, “voluntary taxes” extract the last penny from the working people. Working for the war Soviet industry does not produce the necessary amount of consumer goods. The Bolsheviks did not give a “joyous” and “prosperous” life to the workers of the former tsarist Russia, but a new hard labor, but a new enslavement, a new social oppression and economic exploitation. The Bolshevik enslavers put the working people of the Soviet Union in the position of ancient slaves.
We, the Ukrainian rebels and revolutionaries, the sons of the working people, cannot help but fight against such a policy of the Bolshevik enemies of the people towards the working masses, just as the advanced workers of the former tsarist Russia could not help but fight against the oppression of the landlords and capitalists. We consider it our sacred duty to defend the interests of peasants, workers, and working intellectuals, to fight for their social liberation.
We, the people of Bandera, are fighting against the Bolsheviks also because they built a regime of bloody dictatorship of the Communist Party, a regime of barbaric terror of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB in the USSR.
There is no democracy in the USSR, no public or human rights. The all-powerful master of the life and death of every person in the USSR is the Bolshevik security – the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB. They spy on every Soviet person, try to completely control the entire life of Soviet citizens, all their thoughts and feelings. They mercilessly destroy every braver thought. They deal bloodily with all those who in any way dare to oppose the Bolshevik regime. The Bolshevik system is a complete cancellation of all freedom of all democracy, all achievements of humanity on the way to freedom, is a direct continuation of the tsarist autocracy.
Can we, Ukrainian revolutionaries, stand idly by with such mockery of people? We, the people of Bandera, cannot but fight against such abuse of people. Our highest ideological slogans are “The will of the people! Man’s will!”
We, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, fight against the Bolshevik oppressors, ultimately, because they persecute us for our patriotism, for our love for Ukraine, for the fact that they burn Ukrainian houses, destroy farms, take the Ukrainian people to Siberia, murder, they burn Ukrainian patriots alive, cut off women’s breasts, pierce children with bayonets, crucify them on fences, drag our fallen revolutionary friends along the roads, tied to horses’ tails with barbed wire, tear open their graves, throw their bodies into garbage dumps, roadside ditches, where they are torn to shreds by dogs; we fight against the Bolsheviks because they deface the portraits of Shevchenko, Khmelnytskyi, trample “Kobzar”, “History of Ukraine”. Bolshevik thugs turned all of Western Ukraine into one terrible meat grinder. There is not a house here today, where these soul-mouths would not kill someone, they were not arrested, they were not taken to Siberia, there is not a forest or a grove where the dug up rebel graves are not visible, there is not a village where there are not burned and destroyed farms, there is not a family where a mother does not mourn a murdered son, a daughter does not mourn a murdered mother , a small child of parents taken to Siberia. And why is this a sea of grief, why is this a sea of blood and tears? For the sole reason that the Ukrainian people love Ukraine – their Motherland, for the sole reason that the Ukrainian people, like every other nation in the world, wants to live a free, independent life. what is this sea of blood and tears for? For the sole reason that the Ukrainian people love Ukraine – their Motherland, for the sole reason that the Ukrainian people, like every other nation in the world, wants to live a free, independent life. what is this sea of blood and tears for? For the sole reason that the Ukrainian people love Ukraine – their Motherland, for the sole reason that the Ukrainian people, like every other nation in the world, wants to live a free, independent life.
We, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, fight against the Bolshevik oppressors because they harness women to harrows on collective farms, make them carry manure on their shoulders to the collective farm fields, and sentence collective farm workers to many years in prison for a few ears of corn that they dare to pluck in order to to save themselves from starvation, because the Bolshevik exploiters completely rob collective farm workers of the products of their labor, paying them 200 grams of bread per day of work, because they pushed the Ukrainian collective farm peasantry to the bottom of need and suffering. We fight against the Bolshevik enslavers because the Ukrainian worker must constantly live on hunger rations, stand in long queues for bread, live in poor living conditions, be physically exhausted by unusually high production rates, Stakhanovism, tremble before cruel punishments for the slightest delay to work. We are fighting against Bolshevik criminals because they are in the mines, on the so-called reconstruction works drove women where their health is destroyed, because they separated mothers from their children, because tens of thousands of these children, deprived of care, are forced to wander like homeless people in bazaars, stations, near restaurants, begging for a piece of bread. We are fighting against the Bolshevik oppressors because they force the Ukrainian intelligentsia to oppose their own people, force them to curse their souls, spit on national sanctities, force them to earn their own livelihood through physical labor, and do not give them the opportunity to freely devote themselves to their creative work. reconstruction works drove women where their health is destroyed, because they separated mothers from their children, because tens of thousands of these children, deprived of care, are forced to wander like homeless people in bazaars, stations, near restaurants, begging for a piece of bread. Can a Ukrainian patriot, who sees and understands all the criminality, all the banditry of the Bolshevik policy towards Ukraine, not swear to fight against the Bolshevik oppressors until his last breath, until the last drop of his blood? We, the people of Bandera, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, vowed not to stop our anti-Bolshevik struggle until the complete liberation of Ukraine from Bolshevik rule, until the complete destruction of the Bolshevik oppressive and exploitative system.
WHAT ARE WE, UKRAINIAN REVOLUTIONARIES AND REBELS, FIGHTING FOR, WHAT ARE OUR POLITICAL AND SOCIAL GOALS?
We, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, are fighting:
1. For the construction of an independent Ukrainian national state with a fair political and socio-economic system on Ukrainian ethnographic lands. All Ukrainian patriots have always strived for their national independence and still strive for it. We believe, and this is confirmed by the entire historical experience of the Ukrainian people, the experience of all other enslaved peoples, that only an independent Ukrainian state will provide the Ukrainian people with the best conditions for their all-round spiritual and material development, that only an independent Ukrainian state can be a reliable guarantee of a truly free , truly happy and prosperous life of the Ukrainian people. Deprived of its state independence, the Ukrainian people have always suffered until now and are suffering today from their occupiers only national, political and social oppression, only economic exploitation. The Ukrainian people can put an end to such an unenviable fate of theirs only by building their own independent national state.
2. For the reconstruction of today’s USSR on the principle of independent national states of all Soviet peoples. This solution is the only truly just, truly progressive solution to the national question in the USSR. Such an outcome will deal a fatal blow to Great Russian imperialism – the fiercest enemy of all today’s Soviet peoples and working masses, a formidable enemy of the peoples of the whole world. We, the peoples enslaved by Moscow, must understand that as long as Moscow’s imperialists – white or red, tsarist or Bolshevik – rule over the peoples of today’s USSR, they will always dream of dominating the world. As long as the rulers of Moscow cherish such dreams, they will always compete for constructionthe strongest possible centralized state, to the establishment of the strongest possible power – to autocracy, dictatorship, until then they will always direct all national and economic life to the preparation of wars of aggression, until they will always maintain a strong and widely developed apparatus of oppression, a large strong army, which as a result will always prove also to the strengthening of the socio-economic position of the ruling class, on the one hand, and to the ever-new enslavement and exploitation of the working masses, on the other. Therefore, the reconstruction of the USSR on the principle of national states of all enslaved peoples is not only a prerequisite for the real national liberation of the Soviet peoples, it is not only the most important, the most essential step in the direction of the destruction of Great Russian imperialism in general, but it is also the most necessary prerequisite for the real social and political liberation of the working masses of today’s USSR , the most necessary prerequisite for the establishment of a truly just, truly progressive political and social system in Eastern Europe and post-Bolshevik Asia .
3. For the complete implementation of the idea of free national states of all peoples of the world, for the elimination of all imperialism from international life. We, the people of Bandera, believe that the system of free national states, satisfying the natural aspirations of all peoples for independent state life and providing the best conditions for their comprehensive development, will also create the best prerequisites for close cooperation between peoples. The main obstacle to international cooperation today is the lack of mutual trust between peoples, mutual suspicions between individual states. This mistrust can be eliminated only by fully realizing the idea of free national states of all peoples, only by renouncing all imperialism in national politics.
4. For the construction of a classless society in the independent Ukrainian state, for the real destruction of the exploitation of man by man in Ukraine, for the victory of the idea of a classless society among all peoples, and in particular – on the territory of today’s USSR. The basis of this society in an independent Ukrainian state will be, as we have already talked about, on the one hand, public ownership of tools and means of production, and on the other hand, real democracy in the field within the political system. Public ownership of tools and means of production will prevent the creation of exploitative classes on an economic basis. In contrast to the situation in the USSR today, true democracy in the field of political system will exclude the possibility of the formation of new parasitic groups based on political privileges.
5. For true democracy, against dictatorship and totalitarianism of all kinds, for freedom of speech, press, assembly, worldview, for the provision of all national and public rights for national minorities in Ukraine, against the omnipotence of the police, for such power in the state, which is its highest duty will pay attention to serving the interests of the people, and not to his imperialistic plans.
“Not having aggressive goals, enslaved countries and oppressed peoples in their state, the people’s power of Ukraine will not spend time, energy and money on creating an apparatus of oppression and exploitation. The Ukrainian people’s power will direct all economic resources and all human energy to the construction of a new state order, just social order, for the economic construction of the country and the cultural elevation of the people” (from the OUN Program).
The detailed program of our struggle is laid out in the Program of the OUN, adopted by the III Extraordinary Underground Congress of the OUN, which took place on August 21–25, 1943. This program was also widely distributed in a separate brochure under the title “What the UPA is fighting for.”
From what we have said so far about our ideology and politics, it is as clear as possible that our Bander revolutionary movement has nothing to do with fascism or Hitlerism. In its deepest essence, our movement is a people’s national social liberation movement. We are alien to all chauvinism, we hate and fight all imperialism, we are against all dictatorship and totalitarianism, we are for the destruction of all exploitation of man by man, for the construction of a truly classless society. Only because of their inability to find any real arguments against us, the Bolshevik enemies of the people associate us with fascism, accuse us of “agency”.
WE, THE PEOPLE OF BANDER, FOR THE REVOLUTION IN THE ENTIRE USSR FOR THE UNITED STRUGGLE FRONT OF ALL ENSLAVED NATIONS AND THE WORKING MASSES OF THE SOVIET UNION
We are striving to achieve our goals by developing a people’s national and social liberation revolution both in Ukraine and among all other peoples of the USSR. We call all the enslaved Soviet peoples, the working masses of all nationalities of the USSR, to fight together with us, to fight for the overthrow of the Bolshevik regime.
The Bolshevik yoke oppresses both the Ukrainian people and all other Soviet peoples equally. Bolshevik oppressors are equal enemies of both Ukrainian and all other enslaved Soviet peoples. The peoples of the Soviet Union can free themselves from the Bolshevik yoke only through a revolutionary struggle against the Bolshevik enslavers and exploiters, through the struggle that its Soviet peoples will lead for the reconstruction of the USSR on the principle of independent national states, for a true classless society, for true democracy in the field of the internal political system of individual national states, for the complete elimination of all imperialism from relations between them, for the closest possible cooperation between them, based on true equality and mutual respect for their interests.
We are competing to forge a single revolutionary anti-Bolshevik front of the peoples of Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Siberia, the peoples of the countries of South-Eastern and Central Europe, which were actually occupied by the Bolsheviks in the last war. The revolutionary, progressive elements of the peoples of Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States, the Caucasus and some peoples of South-Eastern Europe have already united today for a common anti-Bolshevik struggle on the political platform promoted by us in the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Peoples (ABN). Separate governing bodies of the ABN already operate in emigration. This should be followed by the development of an active revolutionary anti-Bolshevik front both within the USSR and in the newly occupied countries. This will be a huge step forward on the way to overthrowing the Bolshevik prison of the peoples, on the way to the liberation of all the peoples enslaved by the Bolsheviks.
We also call the Russian people to fight against the Kremlin’s enslavers and exploiters. The Russian masses are subjected to the same political and social oppression by the Kremlin rulers as non-Russian peoples. In 1917, together with all the other peoples of Russia, the Russian people rose up in a revolutionary struggle against the tsarist autocracy, against the landlords and capitalists in the name of true political freedom, in the name of true equality and justice, in the name of true destruction in Russia any political and social reaction. The Russian people did not understand all that. Bolshevik usurpers forcibly wrested power from the hands of the Russian people and, under the guise of revolutionary phrases, established a new type of autocracy on the territory of former Russia, built a new exploitative social system. The Russian people did not have political freedom in tsarist autocratic Russia, and they do not have it today in the Bolshevik, dictatorial USSR. In tsarist Russia, the Russian working masses were exploited by landlords and capitalists, and now they are exploited by Bolshevik nobles. The Russian people have not yet realized their ideas of political and social will. These ideas await an organized army of new fighters from among the Russian people. To the masses of the Russian people, once oppressed and exploited by tsarism, and now by the Bolshevik clique, to the masses of the Russian people who have the courage and find in themselves the strength to rise to the revolutionary struggle against their oppressors, to the masses of the Russian people who reject and hate all imperialism, – we, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, have only sincere sympathy. HOW DO WE LOOK AT THE NEXT WAR?
We count on the war between the USSR and its opponents as an auxiliary moment in our struggle, as a favorable circumstance that will make it easier for us to liberate ourselves. We have always relied and today rely on the strength of the Ukrainian people, on the strength of all the enslaved peoples of the Soviet Union.
WHAT ARE THE IMMEDIATE TASKS OF OUR STRUGGLE TODAY?
At the current stage of our struggle, our immediate tasks are as follows: 1) to include in the active, revolutionary anti-Bolshevik struggle a part of the Ukrainian people that has not yet been included; 2) through revolutionary propaganda, to make the masses of the USSR people of all nationalities aware of what Bolshevism actually is, to reveal all the anti-people nature of the Bolshevik system, to indicate in what way the peoples of the Soviet Union can liberate themselves from the Bolshevik yoke; 3) stimulate the emergence of an organized active anti-Bolshevik struggle throughout the USSR.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAGE OUR STRUGGLE USING THE ARMED UNDERGROUND METHOD?
In the terrorist conditions of the Soviet Union, we cannot conduct our liberation struggle in any other way than in the form of an armed underground. That is why today we are forced to sit in forests, in underground shelters. We carry weapons to fight the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB. Such forms of struggle were thrown at us by the enemy. It is clear that such forms of political struggle are unusually difficult. Since, however, under the conditions of the Soviet Union, such forms of struggle are the only possible forms of anti-regime political struggle in general, we will continue to fight as we have fought until now. This tactic is the only correct one for all other peoples enslaved by the Bolsheviks.
We consider the development of revolutionary consciousness and anti-Bolshevik political activity of the enslaved peoples and working masses of the Soviet Union to be a prerequisite for the emergence of a mass revolutionary anti-Bolshevik struggle in the USSR. We strive for this education both through revolutionary propaganda and through the direct active revolutionary struggle of the vanguard of the revolution – revolutionary organizations and the inclusion of the Soviet masses in this struggle.
WHAT IS THE DIRECT PURPOSE OF OUR ARMED AND SABOTAGE ACTIONS?
Our armed actions, acts of sabotage, have as their immediate goal to prevent the Bolshevik invaders from gaining a firm foothold on the Ukrainian lands occupied by them, to prevent them from terrorizing and looting the Ukrainian people and the natural resources of the Ukrainian land with impunity, to defend the Ukrainian patriotic element from the terror of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB, to thwart the attempts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB to build up agents, prevent the development of Bolshevik organizations hostile to the Ukrainian people (youth, cultural), destroy especially active Bolshevik servicemen, defend our underground organization against the attack of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB.
WE, THE UKRAINIAN REVOLUTIONARIES AND REBELS, ARE NOT FIGHTING AGAINST THE SOVIET WORKING MASSES
In our struggle, we, the people of Bandera, oppose only the Bolshevik imperialists, that is, against the party leadership and all those elements, regardless of their social and national origin, who faithfully serve this leadership. It is a vile lie that we shoot all Soviet people indiscriminately. We are not fighting against the Soviet masses. Thousands of Soviet people – Soviet collective farm workers, workers and intellectuals, with whom we met, talked, and gave our literature, can testify to this. Thousands of starving people, whom we helped as much as we could, can testify to this. We destroy only the leading representatives of the party, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and all those mercenary elements who actively oppose our movement and are hostile to the Ukrainian people.
HOW DO WE, BANDERS, LOOK AT THE PROSPECTS OF OUR STRUGGLE?
We know that enormous difficulties await us in our struggle. We are coping very well with the fact that so far our forces are small and the enemy’s forces are large. Better than anyone else, we are also aware of how difficult it is to wage a revolutionary struggle in the conditions of the Bolshevik, Emved system. But we believe in the justice of our cause and in the people. This belief has always been the main source of our strength until now and will be so in the future. We are fighting for the dearest interests of both Ukrainians and all other peoples of the Soviet Union. Both the Ukrainian and all other Soviet peoples cannot help but follow us.Today, a large part of Ukraine is actively following us. Today, we have the sympathy of almost the entire enslaved Ukrainian people, a large part, correctly informed about us, of the working masses of the entire Soviet Union. Tomorrow, the rest of Ukraine will actively join our struggle. Tomorrow all the peoples of the Soviet Union will stand on our way. Both in the conditions of the Bolshevik reaction within the USSR and in the newly annexed countries of South-Eastern and Central Europe, and against the background of unhealthy relations with the West, we, the people of Bandera, both from the point of view of the goals of our struggle and from the point of view of its moral foundations, represent the deepest, eternal, healthy aspiration of peoples and working masses to political and social progress, to progress. The forces of progress, the forces of progress always win over the forces of reaction. This is the law of social development. In our fight against the Bolshevik reaction, the final victory will be ours, the people of Bandera. Already today, in the UPA, in the revolutionary underground, in addition to Ukrainians, representatives of other nationalities are also fighting: Russians, Tatars, Belarusians, Georgians. In the near future – we believe in this – thousands of units of revolutionaries of all nationalities of the USSR will fight together with us, on their national territories.
The reason for optimism about our future is also the fact that until now, that is, for six years, the Bolshevik enslavers have not managed to destroy us, break our underground organization. Even the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB becomes powerless against high idealism, against the mastery of conspiracy, against our mass heroism and zeal. Having persevered in our struggle so far, we will persevere in the future. For us, the first battles with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the MGB were the most formidable. Today, when these battles are behind us, we look to the future with faith. Having the necessary experience of fighting in the conditions of the Bolshevik regime, in the conditions of the Emved system, hardened by the previous battles, warmed by the sympathies that we meet wherever we appear, among all the peoples enslaved by the Bolsheviks, strong by the support that Ukrainians give us sacrificially masses of people
OUR FIGHTING STYLE
For us, the people of Bandera, a separate, highly heroic style of revolutionary struggle is characteristic. It is based on the unheard-of high, downright unparalleled idealism of the participants of our movement, our deep patriotism. We do not recognize either capture or surrender to the enemy. Ukrainian revolutionaries and insurgents in their main mass do not surrender alive into the hands of the enemy: in a hopeless situation, they are shot with their last bullets or torn apart by their last grenades. We do not recognize any other life than a life of active struggle for our high revolutionary ideals. We will not stop our struggle as long as there is at least one revolutionary. We are not afraid of even the most difficult difficulties and dangers, even the most difficult obstacles. We are not broken by the death of our friends, nor by repeated failures in our struggle. In the name of the victory of our ideas, we voluntarily submit to the iron discipline that reigns in our ranks.
WE, THE UKRAINIAN REVOLUTIONARIES AND REBELS, CONTINUE THE BEST FREE TRADITIONS OF BOTH UKRAINIAN AND ALL OTHER NATIONS OF THE USSR
Fighting for the national and social will of the Ukrainian people, for the state independence of Ukraine, we, Ukrainian revolutionaries and rebels, continue the work of such great fighters for the liberation of Ukraine in our history as Khmelnytskyi, Mazepa, Petliura, continue the traditions of such liberation organizations in Ukraine from the period after 1920, as the Brotherhood of Ukrainian Statesmen (BUD), the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine (SVU), we fight for the realization of the dreams and ideals of such great Ukrainians as Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka.
Struggling to build a just, progressive political and social order on the territory of the entire USSR, to liberate all the peoples of the Soviet Union from the national and social Bolshevik yoke, we, the people of Bandera, continue the traditions of the liberation struggle of all peoples enslaved by tsarism, continue the work of all that part of the Russian revolutionaries from -before 1917, which really wanted to put an end to national and social slavery in Russia, which really wanted to win political will and social justice for the Russian masses.
This is who we are, the people of Bandera, and what we are fighting for.
Once, to the taunts of the tsarist servants, as if “Haydamaks are not warriors, robbers, thieves, a stain in our history”, the great Shevchenko replied: “You are breaking the sea of people! For the holy truth, the robber will not stand free! The dark people chained in your chains will not be released; will not kill a wicked son; will not break his living heart for his Ukraine” (Kholodny Yar). Let these words of the Great Prophet of Ukraine be our answer today to all those who, deceived by Bolshevik propaganda, still today look at us as “bandits”.
* * *
Since six years, shots have been fired from Ukraine to the entire Soviet Union. From the age of six, the territory of Western Ukraine – a small part of the huge Soviet Union – has been a field of unusually fierce, heroic battles.
Let every Soviet person know, let every Soviet collective farm worker, worker and intellectual know: here in Ukraine, for the first time in the history of the stabilized USSR, the fire of the revolutionary liberation struggle for the overthrow of the Bolshevik-exploitative regime, for the construction of a truly just political and social order on the territory of today’s USSR, was ignited. Here, for the first time in the history of the stabilized USSR, several tens of thousands of Ukrainian patriots – the sons of the working Ukrainian people – swore to die rather than to humbly endure Bolshevik abuse, than to agree with the nationally and socially criminal policy of Bolshevik bandits.
We, the people of Bandera, fight and die with the thought of the future will and happy life of the Ukrainian people, with the thought of the future will and happy life of all Soviet peoples!
We, the people of Bandera, fight and die with the belief that millions of new fighters will follow us, thousands, from all over Ukraine, from all over the Soviet Union, and that our struggle, the struggle for the will of peoples and man, will ultimately end in victory over the Bolshevik reaction.
We, the people of Bandera, fight and die with a sense of pride for the fact that, in the dark days of the Bolshevik reaction, we were the first to pave the way to freedom for the entire Ukrainian people, as well as for the peoples and working masses of the entire Soviet Union, for the fact that history judged us to be the first to usher in a new era for Eastern Europe and post-Bolshevik Asia – the era of their true national and social liberation. We sincerely sympathize with all those Soviet mothers and fathers, whose innocent sons, finding themselves at the front of the struggle against us against their own will, fell in the struggle with us. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is to blame for that. It drove them against us by force. They are victims of Emved terror.
From our revolutionary trenches, repelling the frenzied Emvedist attacks, among the corpses of our fallen friends, all bloodied but not dented, today, with the beginning of the seventh year of our anti-Bolshevik liberation struggle, we raise our revolutionary flag even higher.
Peoples of the Soviet Union! Soviet working masses! Look at that flag! Watch and read:
WE ARE FOR THE WILL OF NATIONS AND PEOPLE!
WE ARE FOR THE LIBERATION OF ALL THE PEOPLE AND WORKING MASSES OF THE SOVIET UNION FROM UNDER THE BOLSHEVIST NATIONAL, POLITICAL AND SOCIAL YOKE!
GET AWAY WITH THE BOLSHEVIST OPPRESSIVE AND EXPLOITATIVE SYSTEM!
To fight under this banner, to fight together with us, we call everyone who is only oppressed by the yoke of the Bolshevik enslavers and exploiters, everyone who only has the strength and courage to fight.
Do not tolerate Bolshevik bullying and violence any longer! It is a shame for a person to meekly bear the yoke and the whip!
No longer to be only dumb slaves! For years longer, you can only secretly suppress your anger and hatred against the Bolshevik enslavers and exploiters!
Rise to the revolutionary struggle against the Kremlin oppressors!
Ukrainians from the eastern regions! We, Ukrainian revolutionaries and insurgents, fighters for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, are calling you: get more involved in the liberation revolutionary struggle against the Bolshevik yoke! The struggle for the freedom and independence of the Ukrainian people is the sacred duty of every son of Ukraine!
Enslaved peoples of the Soviet Union! Belarusians, Georgians, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Lithuanians, Latvians, Estonians, Karelovians, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Tatars, Moldovans, Kalmyks, Bashkirs! Stand up for the national and social liberation struggle against the Bolshevik oppressors for the reconstruction of the USSR on the principle of independent national states of all Soviet peoples!
Russians! Fight for the overthrow of the Bolshevik dictatorship, for the destruction of the Bolshevik exploitative system – for a democratic Russia, for true social equality and justice!
Soviet workers, collective farm workers, intellectuals! The Soviet yoke is getting harder and harder. Needs and poverty have no end. There is no end to terror and persecution. Time to humbly endure longer! Raise a revolutionary struggle for your political and social liberation!
Long live the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people for an independent Ukrainian national state!
Long live the OUN and the UPA – the fighting vanguard of the Ukrainian people in their struggle for national and social will!
Long live Stepan Bandera – the leader of the Ukrainian liberation and revolutionary movement, a sincere friend of all peoples and working masses of the Soviet Union!
Long live General Taras Chuprinka – the Commander-in-Chief of the UPA, a fearless fighter for the will of Ukrainian and all other peoples of the USSR!
Long live the national and social liberation revolutionary struggle of all enslaved peoples of the USSR!
Long live the revolutionary struggle of the working masses of the USSR for social equality and justice, for a real classless society!
Death to Stalin and his clique – the fiercest enemies of the peoples and working masses of the Soviet Union!
Petro Poltava (Fedun)

“On the blood of those who fell on the battlefield in defense of their homes, families and population, in the attack on Gestapo and NKVD nests and units, in individual duels during conspiratorial underground work, on the blood of those who were tortured in prisons and camps, grew the immortal legend of the warring nation, which burns like a fiery torch in the hearts and souls of the people and illuminates the way to the future. Ukraine lives and fights and wins by force. Let there be eternal glory to the fallen heroes who laid down their lives on the altar of the nation!”
