On May 9, 1955, the tenth anniversary of the victory over Germany was solemnly celebrated in Moscow. The front pages of all Soviet newspapers wrote widely about the “wisdom” of the Communist Party, its ruling nucleus – the Central Committee of the CPSU, and about the unity of the Communist Party with the people, which led to victory in the Second World War. The articles praise the superiority of the “socialist” system over the capitalist one and the strength of the Soviet economy. In the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow on May 8, ts. a solemn meeting of Soviet party and public organizations was held together with representatives of the Soviet army. At the meeting, the main speech was delivered by Marshal of the USSR, commander of the Carpathian Military District, I.S. Konev, because Zhukov was not at the meeting. At that time, he was in the eastern zone of Berlin on a special assignment. In the Central Committee of the CPSU, as you can see, it has been decided to promote Marshal Konev to the top position in the Kremlin, who in the highest military circles of the USSR is a rather respectable competitor of Zhukov. Although Zhukov and Konev are personal friends, and were especially so during World War II, circumstantial information indicates that Marshals Zhukov and Konev are fighting for influence in the army and in the military department of the Central Committee of the CPSU. Today, Marshal Konev is the commander of all ground forces of the USSR and Zhukov’s deputy. After all, he is the commander-in-chief of the combined armed forces of the USSR and satellite states. In Konev’s speech at the ceremonial “victory” meeting, Stalin was mentioned only once, as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the USSR during the Second World War. However, the role of the Communist Party, the friendship of the Soviet peoples, and the power of the Soviet army were constantly emphasized. etc. It is very characteristic that, in contrast to Stalin’s toast, which he pronounced for the Russian people on May 9, 1945 at the “victory” banquet in Moscow, not a word was mentioned in Konev’s speech for the “elder brother”, but the role of the entire “Soviet people” was emphasized with great emphasis and in his honor was pronounced “health clinic”. This phenomenon is not accidental. It was pre-planned and thought out. Recently, in “Krasnaya Zvezda”, along with Soviet patriotism, proletarian internationalism, which was transferred to the “archive” after the war and in connection with the “liquidation” of the Comintern, has been gradually brought to light. Zhukov also mentioned proletarian internationalism in his speech in Berlin on May 8. r., laying wreaths on the monument to Soviet soldiers. however, the role of the entire “Soviet people” was emphasized with great pressure, and “Zdravnytsa” was pronounced in their honor. Proletarian internationalism and de-emphasizing the leading role of the “elder brother” do not mean that in the circles of the Central Committee of the CPSU. renounced Russian chauvinism. But today, in the face of the third world war, when the question is “either, or”, when it is again promoted that the Soviet army is an army that is called to “liberate” all the peoples of the world from capitalist enslavement, such an emphasis on the “elder brother” on the international the forum is not beneficial to Moscow, especially after the announcement that “new socialist” nations were created in the USSR. In his speech, Konev said: “The most important result of the Second World War was a fundamental change in international circumstances in favor of democracy and socialism. Along with the world capitalist camp, a powerful world camp of socialism and democracy was created, led by the USSR and the People’s Republic of China, which unites 12 countries with a population of 900 million… But cooperation and normal relations between all the countries of the democratic camp are hindered by the policy of the imperialist states aimed at causing a new world war. This requires the USSR and the countries of people’s democracy to take all measures to unite their efforts to prevent and destroy sudden aggression, wherever it may appear. The Soviet Army now has such a modern military organization as meets the requirements of the times, it is powerful and militarily prepared according to the requirements of modern wars. Soldiers learn to defeat a strong, active and technically armed enemy in the most difficult conditions, and they will honorably fulfill all party tasks. The fraternal armies of the states of the people’s democracies will fight side by side with the Soviet soldiers… “Konev called on the army to prepare for future skirmishes with the enemy, and the Soviet population to strengthen the defense capabilities of the army and the country. From the speech, we can see that Moscow, despite its declarations of peace, is not backing down from its own imperialist aggressive plans, but on the contrary, it is preparing to implement them even by armed force. Before the world had time to reread Konev’s speech and recognize what it was aimed at, on May 11, all Soviet newspapers reported on the Warsaw meeting of representatives of the “independent republics” of the USSR and its satellites with the aim of “ensuring peace” in Europe. on the contrary, it is preparing to implement them even by means of armed force. Before the world had time to reread Konev’s speech and recognize what it was aimed at, on May 11, all Soviet newspapers reported on the Warsaw meeting of representatives of the “independent republics” of the USSR and its satellites with the aim of “ensuring peace” in Europe.
At the same time, the 5th All-Union Soviet Conference of Supporters of “Peace” is taking place in Moscow, and “Proposals of the Soviet Government on Arms Reduction, Prohibition of Atomic Weapons, and Elimination of the Threat of a New War” are published in the newspapers. The Soviet government issued a declaration that it believed the UN should approve and implement. Reading the declaration and comparing it with Konev’s speech, Korniychuk’s speech at the meeting of “peace” and Bulganin, all the tricks of Moscow become clear. The Warsaw Conference is actually an attempt by the Soviet government to put on its side the peoples of satellite states enslaved by them, which today still have some provisional independence, and during the third world war will be completely subordinated to Moscow. The very content of the declaration will continue to leave to Moscow and the states of “people’s democracies” superiority in armed forces over the Western world. According to the declaration, the USA should have up to 1,500,000 soldiers, the USSR – 1,500,000, China – 1,500,000, England – 650 thousand and France – 650 thousand. In this way, Moscow together with red China would have 3 million soldiers, and the United States together – 2 million 250 thousand. As we can see, the difference is small! (?), if we also take into account the fact that the USSR is trying to eliminate France and its armed forces from the Atlantic Pact, and to neutralize England. The declaration prohibits arming Germany, so the “capitalism” camp would be completely powerless against the “socialism” camp. This is precisely what Moscow wants to achieve with its declaration. Because even if the second part of the declaration was implemented, equally, Moscow would have the advantage in its hands and would prepare its armed forces in reserve. In the declaration, not a single word is mentioned, for example, about such a paramilitary Soviet organization as DOSAAF, in which the Soviet military reserves are trained to the widest extent. DOSAAF covers the entire Soviet population under the age of 40, and training in it is carried out entirely on the military model. DOSAAF is governed by a Presidium, which consists of high-ranking Soviet Army officers. It is headed by Lieutenant General Gritchin, who has three deputy generals and the DOSAAF headquarters. The General Staff is directly managed by the Ministry of War of the USSR and the Main Political Directorate. So, DOSAAF is a completely military organization of the USSR, which has several million combat-ready and trained soldiers. The Soviets offer that control and supervision over the armed forces of all countries be carried out by members of a special commission, which, of course, will include representatives of the USSR. Because the declaration provides for full access of the members of the commission to all objects of control, it becomes clear that the Soviet members of the commission will be engaged in espionage, sabotage and sabotage on a wide scale in countries such as the USA and England. That this will be so is confirmed by the facts of espionage by the members of the Neutral Commission in Korea, which included representatives of Poland and Czechoslovakia. If this Soviet declaration were to be implemented, the military reserves of the USSR, China and satellites would far exceed those of the USA and England. Preparing for the attack, Moscow already today has more than 4,800,000 soldiers, satellite countries – up to 2 million, and red China – an army of 10 million. It is clear that under during the war, the army will be increased several times, especially since the efficiency of using the Soviet population for war is much higher than in the West. In the USSR, women and teenagers also work in all branches of the economy and industry. Women’s and adolescent labor in the USSR is used very widely both in peacetime and wartime. According to official Soviet publications, the specific weight of female labor in the industry of the USSR during the Second World War (in 1942) reached 55 °/o, and in 1940 it was only 38 °/o. In 1943, compared to 1942, it increased by another 11 °/o. Therefore, during the war, the Soviet military reserves will be greatly increased at the expense of women’s work, which is simply not the case in the West. The Bolsheviks propose that the USA eliminate all military bases in foreign countries, but they do not talk about the elimination of Soviet military bases in satellite states. They insist that the military bases of the satellite states are not the bases of the USSR, but of the countries of the “people’s democracies”. Moscow wants very much the liquidation of American military bases in order to finally break the ring with which the USA has surrounded it. The elimination of US military bases in foreign countries will enable Moscow to gradually but quickly master new countries through the subversive work of the fifth columns and the strengthening of partisan uprisings in colonial countries.
As you know, the expansion of the Moscow-imperialist spheres of influence at the expense of the Balkans, Poland and East Germany significantly improved the military and strategic position of the USSR on the European continent. The Balkans have been of interest to a number of European states and Russia-USSR for a long time. The shortest route from Central Europe to the Mediterranean Sea, the Dardanelles and the Sea of Marmara lies through the Moravian-Varar Valley. Russia, Austria-Hungary, England, Germany and Italy were constantly fighting among themselves for influence in the Balkans. During the First World War, huge military battles took place in the Balkans, because each of the warring countries wanted to take control of the Balkans and secure important strategic positions on the Mediterranean Sea. The Balkans are the gateway to conquering the north of Asia Minor, creeping into Africa, and controlling all the Mediterranean states. At the end of 1940, diplomatic talks were held in Berlin between Hitler and Molotov for influence in the Balkans. Without reaching an agreement, Hitler began to prepare for war against the USSR. Demanding a second front from the USA and England, Stalin achieved the fact that the Allies did not land in the Balkans, as Churchill wished. In this way, the Balkans fell into the hands of Moscow, and it began hastily building up its military bases and Sovietizing the Balkan states. In 1946-49, Moscow organized and supported gangs in Greece. The seizure of Greece by the communists would provide the Soviet army with access to the Mediterranean Sea, would give Russian imperialism the opportunity to seize the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus, that is, to slip into Turkey and become a firm foothold in Asia Minor. The fall of Yugoslavia from the Moscow-communist sphere of influence in 1948 worsened Moscow’s strategic position in the Balkans.
In recent times, Moscow began to normalize its diplomatic relations with Yugoslavia, and at the reception in connection with the tenth anniversary of the liberation of Yugoslavia from the German occupation, the highest Moscow-communist dignitaries were present in the Yugoslav embassy. Muscovites attach such great importance to the Balkans, especially since Bulgaria and Albania are completely subordinated to Moscow. The Bolsheviks talk about disarmament, but they do not violate the international affairs of reconciliation of all conflicts that arise due to their efforts to dominate the world. Not a word is mentioned about the fact that Moscow already has huge armies behind its satellites for armed confrontation in all corners of its own sphere of influence. It is important for Moscow to eliminate US military bases, and about its own bases, for example, in such an important area as the Balkans or in the Far East, The USSR is not mentioned in a single word. Moscow tries to paralyze the armed preparations of the free world against Moscow’s aggression with declarations of peace that pour in every year. At the same time, the Russian imperialists do not stop for a minute the increase and strengthening of their own military forces, both in the USSR and in satellite countries. Moscow demands an example of disarmament from the USA and England, but it is very far from that example. After the Second World War, the armed forces of the satellites of the USSR began to be organized under the leadership of the Moscow military authorities. In Poland, Czechoslovakia and Romania, the core of the new Soviet armies became the military units created in the USSR during the Second World War. The armies of the satellites consisted not only of soldiers belonging to the nationalities of the satellite states, but to a large extent also of Muscovites. Along with standing troops, many armed units and state militia were created to “maintain internal order.” Most of the time, Moscow appointed communist officers who had been in the USSR for many years and had graduated from high military studies there to the leadership positions in the satellite armies. In 1946-47, a general purge of officers was carried out in the satellite armies, and a large number of reliable and proven officers were sent to Moscow for military studies. In 1947-48, the USSR sent its military missions to the satellite countries, which actually became the leaders of the satellite armies. Soviet military regulations were translated into the languages of the satellites and implemented in the lives of their armies, and the entire structure and organization of the armies was rebuilt according to the Soviet model. their uniform is actually no different from the Soviet one, and in 1951 all satellite armies were rearmed with Russian weapons. In addition, the ranks, awards and institutions of commissars and political tricks were implemented in the armies. The organization of military forces in East Germany began as early as 1948, when there was no armed forces in West Germany. In 1948, a military police was formed in East Germany, which was initially part of the “folk police”. At the beginning, the military police numbered 7,500 soldiers. By 1951, it increased significantly in number, was reorganized and united into 24 military units of various types of weapons (infantry, artillery, sappers, communications). At the same time, the sea and air police appear. Its number already reaches 50,000, and by the end of 1952 divisions and a military corps of the armed forces appear. In the same year, a new uniform and military ranks were introduced. Gradually, the so-called “Policebereitschaft” is armed with heavy artillery, automatic weapons and tanks. She is placed in the barracks and normal military training begins. Back in 1949, German communists were sent to Moscow, who graduated from military academies there and were appointed to high military positions in East Germany. In East Germany itself, 12 military infantry and 3 naval schools were organized. Lithuanian education takes place exclusively in the USSR. The process of reorganization and Sovietization of the armies of the satellite states ends in 1951. Later, an increase in the number of armies began and training for joint actions with the Soviet army was intensified. At the beginning of 1955, the armies of Poland, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Albania, and East Germany had almost 1.5 million soldiers, and another 3 million were prepared in reserve.
Territorially, the armed forces of the satellites are divided in the same way as in the USSR into military districts (Romania and East Germany each have three, and Poland and Czechoslovakia – four military districts each). The ground forces of the satellite states include infantry, tank and motorized units. There are separate artillery divisions in Poland and Romania, cavalry units in Czechoslovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, and mountain rifle divisions in Romania. In each satellite state, special military brigades were organized to fight anti-Bolshevik partisans and partisan units for partisan actions. In 1954, the Soviet partisan general Kovpak was present at the military autumn maneuvers in Czechoslovakia, who led the partisan actions during these maneuvers. Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and East Germany have naval forces, but numerically and powerfully they are insignificant. Bulgaria has the largest naval fleet. The air forces of the satellite armies consist mostly of fighter aircraft, most of which are of Soviet design. Bomber aircraft are not numerous. There are 3 military districts in East Germany (Northern – headquarters in Pazewalkow, Southern – Leipzig and Central – Potsdam). Each military district has one rifle corps, which includes two rifle divisions and one motorized division. At the beginning of 1955, the total number of East German military forces was almost 140,000. Due to the ratification of the Paris Agreement, the number of troops in East Germany is rapidly increasing. The armed forces of East Germany are commanded by a participant in the Spanish Civil War, a member of the Communist Party, Heinz Hoffmann, and a large number of Hitler’s generals and officers serve in the army. So, for example, the Chief of the General Staff of the East German Armed Forces — Major General Vincenzo Müller, Chief of Artillery — Major General Hans Wulz, Chief of Motorization and Mechanization — Major General Arno von Lensky, his deputy Major General Martin Lattmann, Chief of Staff of ground troops, Major General Berngard Bechler. In addition to them, Major General Otto Korfes, Colonels Karl Riedel, Wilhelm Adam and others serve in the army. All of them served Hitler. The Soviet army was also thoroughly reorganized. In the newspaper “Krasnaya Zvezda” dated March 3, c. r., in the article of Colonel Radkevich, it is written that the Soviet army has been completely reorganized and rearmed. It has the latest modern modern weapons, the air force has new planes with turbo generators and rocket engines, their speed exceeds the speed of sound. The naval fleet was supplemented with new modern submarines. Many new airports were built, equipped with radar, television and automatic equipment. Artillery is mechanized and automated, the air force is united in 16 air armies, which are armed with long-range heavy bombers, aircraft and nuclear carriers. The infantry is motorized. The officer corps is ideologically trained and consists of 80-90% of party members. The infantry is motorized. The officer corps is ideologically trained and consists of 80-90% of party members. The infantry is motorized. The officer corps is ideologically trained and consists of 80-90% of party members.
This is how Moscow’s desire for peace looks in general. So, Konev’s speech and the declaration of the USSR are two documents that are in deep disagreement with each other. It is easier for Moscow to give up peace declarations than to give up its domination over the world. We hope that the Bolsheviks will no longer succeed in deceiving the West with their new tricks. The world is beginning to understand that it is necessary to speak with Moscow only in the language of weapons, and not in the language of diplomatic conferences or meetings. Because even the implementation of the Soviet declaration on disarmament gives Moscow an advantage over the free world and will not destroy the military potential of Moscow imperialism. The Moscow Empire-USSR must be crushed and divided into independent states, only then will true peace reign in the world.
