In early November, the Congress of the Nations of North Caucasus on the creation of a Confederation will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, which will bring together delegates from the nations of the North Caucasus.
This event was announced in Kyiv on May 27 2023 at the Conference dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Mountain Republic, at which representatives of the North Caucasus nations and political analysts from the United States and the European Union spoke.
This is a serious practical step towards the reality of liberation of the Caucasus from centuries-old imperial oppression and occupation.
Following the example of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, which were unconditionally recognized first, during the collapse of the USSR, precisely because they were recognized states before the occupation, and the Mountain Republic was recognized by dozens of states in 1918, the Confederation, in the same way, has every chance for unconditional recognition by the United States and the European Union.
Despite the fact that the Mountain Republic was destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1921, as well as the independent Georgian Republic and the Ukrainian Republic, nevertheless, the US Congress did not stop recalling the founding date of the Mountain Republic – May 11, 1918.
This legal fact, significant for international relations, is a green light for recognition of the Confederation of Peoples of the Caucasus and liberation from the Russian Empire.
International recognition of the Confederation of Nations of the North Caucasus does not contradict the fact of independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and other states in the Caucasus, which will declare their sovereignty and independence.
A draft Constitution for the Confederation of Nations of the North Caucasus is being prepared with the involvement of specialists from the United States of America and the European Union.
As soon as the draft Constitution is ready, it will be submitted for discussion to the general public of representatives of the peoples of the Caucasus.

On the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Inal Sherip, flew to Washington to present the Confederation Project in the USA
