An Appeal from Said Ismagilov, ex-mufti of Muslims in Ukraine, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

I greet you and wish you peace. Dear Muslim Tatars, I urge you not to take part in Putin’s unconstitutional elections. These elections are illegal because they are being held in our occupied territories of Ukraine. These elections are illegal because they will elect a person who has been in power for 30 years and has changed the Constitution of Russia to suit himself. These elections are illegal because the opposition was killed and destroyed. This election is completely immoral. Do not come to polling stations and do not become accomplices of the crimes of the Putin regime. Fight for the freedom of the Tatar people, for the preservation of culture, language, religion and for the restoration of Tatar statehood! The nations enslaved by Russia will be free! Happy month of Ramadan to all Muslims!
