The operation of Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine helped divert the enemy’s forces and assets, as well as the attention of the troops of the Russian Federation to other areas.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this on the air of the Yedyny Novyny telethon, Rubryka reports.
Ukrainian intelligence also confirms the data of the Russian volunteers about the losses they inflicted on the Russian troops during almost a week of “limited military operation” in the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation.
“Legion, RDK have just announced enemy losses during this period. We can confirm, these are very serious numbers. More than 600 eliminated occupiers, more than 800 wounded, 20 armoured vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, BMPs and 7 tanks are serious losses in an area that has long been declared closed and protected by the enemy, as if everything was supposed to be fine there ,”said Yusov.
Russian volunteers from the “Freedom of Russia” legion, the”Russian Volunteer Corps” and “Siberian Battalion” reported:
“During a few days of conducting a limited military operation on the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions against Putin’s troops, our enemy suffered huge losses in manpower and equipment. Kremlin soldiers are demoralized by the mass death of their comrades in the service, who became senseless victims of Putin’s sick ambitions .
According to the Legion, as of the morning of 18 March, irreversible losses of Putin’s army in the Belgorod and Kursk regions amounted to 613 servicemen, and sanitary losses – 829 military personnel and 27 servicemen were captured.

A significant amount of destroyed equipment is also reported :
- 7 tanks (including three T-72, one T-72BZ),
- 20 BMP (including BMP-2, BMP-3),

- 4 mortars,
- 2 MT-12 “Rapir” anti-tank guns,
- two self-propelled howitzers 2C19 “Msta-S”,
- 2 UAV ZALA, BM 21 “Grad”,
- the complex of video thermal surveillance “Murom”,
- EW station and repeater,
- as well as about six dozen engineering and automotive equipment units, including armoured vehicles.
In addition, a significant amount of military equipment has been disabled.
It is also reported about the destruction or damage of personnel concentration points, ammunition depots, dugouts, towers with antenna complexes, fortification structures, video surveillance cameras, cellular communication stations, a bridge in the village of Horkovsky, etc.
What is known about the operations of the LSR on the territory of the Russian Federation
Fighters of the “Freedom of Russia” Legion repeatedly conducted raids near the Russian Federation. In particular, they controlled the territory and clashed with the Russian military.
Thus, on March 12, the “Freedom of Russia” Legion and the “Siberian Battalion” launched a new raid and entered the Belgorod region. In particular, in the Belgorod region, having broken through on tanks, they are advancing in several directions.
Russian volunteers actively publish appeals. They announced they are “going to the polls” and “will do everything so that Putin moves from Novo-Ogaryovo to Polar Wolf.”
The GUR also commented on the presence of weapons in the possession of Russian volunteers who broke through the border of the Russian Federation on 12 March. In addition, they explained the “phenomenon” of such raids, which are not happening for the first time.
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation acted according to the usual scenario, declaring only about “attempts” of volunteers to invade the territory of Russia. They have already found the “culprits” there and reported on the “rejection” of volunteers and the “liquidation” of dozens of them.
The dictator of the Russian Federation, Putin, believes that the breakthrough of the fighters of the Legion “Freedom of Russia”, “RDK” and “Siberian Battalion” in the Belgorodsk and Kursk regions is an attempt to disrupt the elections in the Russian Federation and “get a trump card” for the exchange of territories in possible negotiations.
