Predictably, the Kremlin has launched a flywheel of repression against the people’s leaders – Aruna Arna was added to the list of “terrorists and extremists”, Alexander Ivanov was threatened with prison, demanding that he give up his mandate. But neither Aruna nor Ivanov are afraid – they tell the truth about the Kremlin’s colonial policy and openly challenge the system. Their struggle has already become a symbol of resistance. The Kremlin can intimidate and fabricate criminal cases, but more and more people are uniting against Putin’s regime. And this is what Moscow fears most of all.
