In celebration of the achievements of the Slutsk military rank, the Council of the Belarusian National Republic announces the following awards.
The medal of the Order of Pursuit for merits in the struggle for freedom and independence of Belarus was awarded to:
Alexander Gerasimen,
Margarita Lyavchuk,
as well as four individuals whose names are not being published for security reasons, including political prisoners.
As outstanding social and cultural figures awarded:
Algerd Bakharevich,
Alina Nagornaya,
Call sign “Oxon”.
A posthumously awarded fighter of the “Atom” detachment, who died heroically in the war against the Russian aggressors.
The medal of the Order of Pursuit is awarded to Belarusian citizens and foreigners of impeccable character who have special merits for the Belarusian people: individuals who distinguished themselves in the field of struggle for the freedom and independence of Belarus, prominent public and cultural figures in Belarus and among Belarusians abroad, foreigners who contributed to research and popularization of Belarus in the world, as well as in other ways contributed to the national interests of Belarus.
Six fighters of the medical service of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment were awarded the medal of the BNR for combat merits (three – basic medals and three – officer’s medals), as well as one fighter of the special unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a Belarusian, a student of the “White Legion” (an officer’s medal).
The medal for combat merits is awarded for personal courage shown in circumstances related to the risk to life and the protection of freedom, sovereignty and the democratic constitutional system of Belarus on the basis of the ideals of March 25, in particular, during the performance of military and official duty, in battles and during the performance special tasks in the national interests of Belarus.
