On 5 May 2025, the international human rights project initiated by ABN (Anti-Imperial Block of Nations) was launched in Chisinau, focusing on political prisoners of Russia’s oppressed nations. The project aims to draw global attention to the widespread political repression carried out by Vladimir Putin’s regime against opposition figures, civil activists, journalists, and indigenous nations of the Russian Federation.
The event featured stories of specific political prisoners who have become symbols of resistance against dictatorship. Organisers called for united efforts to free the imprisoned and support their families.
“Muscovy in its many forms — as the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, or Putin’s Russia — has always posed a threat to its neighbours. If the civilized world truly wants this threat to end, it must commit to dismantling such a state,” emphasized Oleg Medunytsya during his speech.
The event was streamed online on Infotag.md and Privesc.eu.
