In Poland, on the border with Belarus, a deserter from the Russian army, who tried to cross the border illegally through a migration channel organized by the Lukashenka regime was detained.
This became known to the Polish radio station RMF FM, reports “Evropeyska Pravda”.
The Podlasie border guards detained the Russian shortly after he crossed the Belarusian border.
According to the radio station, the detained Russian soldier is 41 years old. He was in civilian clothes and without weapons and tried to enter Poland illegally through Belarus, probably directly from the Ukrainian front.
Russian military documents were found in the soldier’s possession, including a contract with the army, which documents participation in military operations against Ukraine.
The Russian tried to take advantage of the migration channel organized by the regime of Alexander Lukashenko, which is used by foreigners mainly from the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia to get to Europe.
The 41-year-old Russian is currently being checked by Polish services.
Podlaskie border guards confirmed that officers detained a Russian deserter on the territory of Poland while trying to cross the border.
We will remind you that the other day, the judge of the Warsaw Voivodeship Administrative Court Tomasz Schmidt appeared at a press conference in Minsk and said that he wants to stay in Belarus and will ask for political asylum.
The National Prosecutor’s Office of Poland has started an investigation against Schmidt under the article about working for foreign intelligence.
