NATO warned the Georgian authorities that the decision to adopt the scandalous law “On transparency of foreign influence” is incompatible with its western course, including plans for membership in the Alliance.

As “European Truth” reports, such a comment was published on behalf of the Alliance by spokeswoman Fara Dahlalla.

NATO called on Georgia to change its course and respect the right of the country’s residents to peaceful protest.

“The decision of the Georgian government to adopt legislation on so-called “foreign agents” is a step in the wrong direction and distances Georgia from European and Euro-Atlantic integration,” Dakhlalla said.
