The main sign of December was the liquidation of the Assad regime. No matter how cheerful Putin’s “war correspondents” may be, the world axis of evil suffered a heavy loss. This is what the Kremlin fears. If not Katz’s investigations or the balloons in the squares – the wrath of the armed people.
The dictatorship in Syria has been swept away. It will be swept away in Russia too. No matter how much the Putin regime clings to existence, its fate is modelled by Lieutenant General Kirillov, who was sent to meet with Motorola. Fyodor Shaporenko reflects on this in his article “The Anti-imperial Scooter”.
By the end of the year, the Kremlin’s war against Ukraine has resulted in a bloody division of villages in Ukraine’s Donetsk region and Russia’s Kursk region. Rocket terror against peaceful Ukrainians is met with tangible counterattacks. Syrian rebels have crushed the pro-Putin regime, bringing the destruction of the global axis of evil closer. Trump and Scholz are hoping for negotiations. Putin is tediously raving about “Oreshnik.” Meanwhile, Putin’s biolab general is blown up in the middle of Moscow.
The Ordinariness of War
The main battles at the beginning of winter occur in the Donbas and Kharkiv regions. According to the latest reports, Russian troops have managed to break through to Kurakhovo – an important line in the Pokrovsk direction. The pressure has also increased near Kupyansk, the occupiers are breaking through to the bank of the Oskol River. The battles continue. Countless losses ensure the advance of Russian troops. The feudal state lays its subjects in stacks, noted General Zaluzhny. The earth will be soaked in blood a hundred metres deep for the sake of a hundred metres forward. This is the Kremlin’s military advantage.
It is critically important for Putin to announce some victories by the New Year. The best thing would be bravura reports about the battle for Donbas, which people have gotten used to over the past decade. If not Kyiv in three days, then at least Makarovka in three years.
It would be a mistake to think the report is intended for Putin’s electorate. The Kremlin doesn’t care about its subjects. They have already been accustomed to the routine of carnage. The authorities need to report to themselves, to support their own spirit. To consolidate the position of the leader as someone capable of achieving something in the common interests of the Russian Federation’s ruling class.
In Kursk Oblast, the empire recaptured the villages of Novoivanovka and Plekhovo. The Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattacked in the Darino area. The missile war is escalating. Christmas in Lgov, Kursk, was marked by a Ukrainian missile strike on the command post of the 810th separate marine brigade. Putin is striking at the energy sector, medicine, and the Ukrainian cities’ residential areas. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are striking at command centres, military production facilities, and ammunition depots.
No one is surprised anymore by the Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in Kazan with the inscription “How do you like Kyiv in three days?” As well as the strikes on Grozny. The locations of military units and punitive divisions of the FSB, OMON, and the Russian National Guard are under fire.
The Russian troops demonstrate their inability to make a serious breakthrough. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lack the resources for a massive counteroffensive. The front is freezing, and the exchange of missile strikes is becoming routine. The resolution of the situation has been postponed for the coming year.
Who is afraid not to die?
The main world event of December was the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad (who had gained 95% in the “elections” three years ago). The dictator decided not to test on himself how much the people loved him and retreated from the country he had ruined. But his cousin Suleiman, who was hanged in Latakia, tested him. The “Assad butcher” Talal al-Dakak, famous for feeding political opponents to his pet lion, was also hanging from a noose.
The doors of the Sednaya torture prison have been thrown open. The regime’s prisoners have been revealed to the world. The mass graves of the Damascus suburbs, of Kutayfa and Najha have been uncovered: more than 100,000 victims of the ophthalmologist who went berserk with power are buried here alone. The figure is probably incomplete. Putin’s propagandists have long argued that the “secular dictator” protects the Alawites and Christians. What this nonsense was worth is now known: it was the Alawites who hanged Assad’s cousin in Latakia. Everyone hated the regime. Everyone except the regime dignitaries, the punishers, the agitators and the titushki. Well, they will hate it now. But it’s too late. However, those who were more agile – the elite 8th Brigade, the 5th Corps of criminals – turned their weapons in time and are now triumphant in the victors’ camp.
The key outpost of the Kremlin’s entrenchment and penetration in the Middle East and Africa has been destroyed. Russian interventionists are fleeing the Khmeimim and Tartus bases. No matter how the decision on these facilities is formalized, they can no longer be used for colonial expansion. An even more powerful blow fell on the regime of the ayatollahs – Putin’s Iranian allies.
An important lesson from Syria is that the “colour revolutions” era is over. Revolutions have returned… ordinary ones. Revolutions of fire and metal. And the people who win are motivated not only by law, but also by nation, faith, and brotherhood.
In Syria, the personification of these forces has become the military leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Ahmed al-Sharaa, aka Abu Muhammad al-Julani. Until recently, he was a “terrorist” according to both the Russian and American versions. Now he is politically correctly called: the de facto leader of Syria. The State Department is cancelling the reward for his head (which has never found a hero). Kadyr Khan is already proposing to remove HTS from the list of “terrorist organizations.” What can I say – the Kadyrovs are accustomed to reckoning with force.
The undead fear the living. They fear people who do not humble themselves and do not submit to meanness and oppression.
Meanwhile, Islamist Julani speaks of rights and freedoms, guarantees equality for all Syrians, positions himself as a libertarian Muslim, intends to visit Argentina and create an intercontinental libertarian union with Javier Miley…
But with all due respect to the Syrian liberals, many of whom fought with weapons in hand, it was not they who led the country to victory. And even more so, the Russian “liberals” (as they call themselves) will not pull it off. In this context, hardly anyone is surprised by the reports of cooperation between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and HTS. The solidarity of peoples, the cooperation of the most advanced units of the world liberation movement – this is the force that crushes evil.
Against the Syrian background, the speakers of not only the Russian but also the Georgian opposition are losing badly. The unpreparedness for a forceful confrontation devalues any efforts. There are no other ways except in Syria and Ukraine. But it is understandable: the activists of the combat resistance are now in the Georgian Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The businessman doesn’t catch up
“Olaf Scholz must resign, you stupid idiot.” Many will agree with these words of Elon Musk. The Social Democratic Chancellor of Germany now demands that Putin withdraw his troops from Ukraine, and now calls negotiations with him important for conveying the EU’s position to Moscow. Another thing is that this babble differs little from the Manilov dreams of the Trumpist IT magnate, who is drawing up “demilitarized zones” for Putin.
Musk’s immediate superior decided to demonstrate his violent temper and hinted at the possibility of conflict with Denmark (over Greenland) and Panama (over the Canal Zone). Amid the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine – you couldn’t think of a more relevant situation. It seems Trump forgot to end this war in 24 hours. The general direction of the US President-elect’s speeches so far coincides with Scholz’s: “Let’s live in peace.”
The cardinal question: who told them all – Trump, Musk, Scholz – that Putin was going to negotiate and reconcile? Nothing in the words and actions of the Kremlin woman testifies to this. What kind of infantile extrapolation of one’s wishes to individuals of a different, non-human species is this? This could cost dearly.
The Kremlin’s intermediate goal is to lull vigilance to strike again later. Preferably from behind. The goal of Putin’s war is war as such. Against Ukraine, Europe and the world. Against humanity. In the end – against life. The ruling regime of the Russian Federation feeds on death and lives only on death.
And for them – a deal… a freeze… a settlement… a dialogue… a compromise…
We must give him credit: Putin is not hiding anything. On the contrary, he is asking for trouble with his proposals for a “nut duel” in Kyiv. But the Western elite, including Trump, still sees the genocide fan as just a cunning businessman. They just can’t understand: he is not a businessman, not even a bandit – he is a KGB agent. He really dreams of an eternal kingdom of the undead and darkness.
Either there won’t be him, or there won’t be peace.
They won’t understand it any other way
If you look closely, changes are happening in the Kremlin too. Patrushev has been pushed aside. Bortnikov appears less often. But Belousov, Manturov, and Oreshkin are in plain sight, with Kiriyenko’s shadow above them, Dyumin somewhere nearby… And one floor below, in the “engine room” of the nomenklatura, there are “forty-year-old managers” from the “pharmacy” departments (a frivolous name for the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation). A Novikov type from “social projects”. Busy with a terrible production – the normalization of war. Outside and inside. In the world, in the country, in every soul. Programmes are being issued and put into an implementation that accustoms us to the eternity of oppression and violence. On the cosmic and cellular levels.
Alternative sources of information and means of communication are being blocked slowly but consistently: Discord, Viber, YouTube, WhatsApp… Not at all because of the pompous declamations and boring investigations by Katz and the FBK. The Kremlin fears something else. There are people ready to take up arms (even if not always firearms). And prove to the internal occupiers: that you are superfluous on Earth. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee under the command of Bortnikov reports dozens of killed, thousands arrested – “bandits”, “terrorists”, and “weapons dealers”. In the past year alone, almost a hundred thousand firearms and five and a half thousand explosive devices have been confiscated. Before the New Year, the FSB reports on neutralized terrorists and is waging a firefight with the “Khorasan Vilayat” in the middle of Moscow. Everyday life of stability.
The past week, the days of the winter solstice, was marked by fifty arsons all over Russia. Military registration, enlistment offices and banks, administrations and police cars are burning. An ordinary pensioner takes up a Molotov cocktail. And no matter how much you curse the propaganda of the “telephone scammers” – it is clear that the point is not in them. Such is the air of modern Russia. All that is needed for a throw is a push. The forces of disparate resistance are not yet comparable with the punitive power of the state. But the Resistance will decide everything.
It is not so much the partisans who throw cocktails, but ordinary people. Another matter is the liquidation of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of the NBC Protection Troops Directorate, who poisoned Ukrainians with chemical weapons. The general’s means of transport to hell was a well-parked scooter.
Putin’s liquidated general would hardly listen to a lecture on the inadmissibility of violence against the civilian population of a neighbouring country. That is why the avengers did not care about the parameters of tolerance. Something similar on an all-Russian scale. When the guerrilla fire meets the deep-popular one, the regime will be burned.
