Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev signed
a decree establishing a 5-kilometre special zone on the administrative border with the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. This territory has a special legal regime, similar to the border zone.
Staying and moving in a special zone is possible only with identification documents. In addition, it is prohibited to stay in a hundred-metre zone without prior notification – 12 hours in advance – of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the region. This decision was made following a meeting of the Operational Headquarters of the Rostov Region.
This measure will create conditions for protection against the penetration of terrorists, extremists and their accomplices, illegal movement of weapons, ammunition and means of sabotage into the region.
Excuse me, but back in 2022, the “DPR”, “LPR” and parts of two other annexed regions of Ukraine were officially accepted into the Russian Federation. At Z-rallies, they shouted: “Together forever!” So what happens now? It turns out that the Rostov governor is protecting himself from his compatriots, suspecting them of being “terrorists and extremists”?
The appearance in a country of internal borders with document checks and “special zones” means only one thing – this country has collapsed. How long will it take for similar borders to appear between other regions of the Russian Federation? Then it will probably be possible to state the final collapse of the imperial “special zone”.
