Anti-imperial Block of Nations

During the “round table” – “Ukraine – Rammstein for the enslaved nations in the struggle for freedom”, the head of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on developing the project of the basic principles of the state policy towards the indigenous people of the Russian Federation, Maria Mezentseva, called on the international community to support the national liberation struggle of the enslaved nations as much as possible.

“I want to share my thoughts on the latest events in international politics and the work of the Ukrainian parliament on the topic of liberating the enslaved nations of Russia. At the April meeting of the PACE, after consulting with the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on developing the project of the main principles of state policy towards the indigenous nations of the Russian Federation and experts, we made important changes to the final PACE resolution. Three subtle amendments paved the way for us to continue the work that the European Parliament started before its elections.

These changes caused a heated debate, especially in the legal committee. However, thanks to our expertise, we reformatted these amendments and conveyed an important message to the people living on the territory of the Russian Federation. These were both private messages and public speeches that helped convey our position.

We talk about people’s rights, international documents, and rights to culture, language, and territory – topics that are understandable to many of our partners. The PACE-based forum for communication with the Russian opposition includes many representatives of enslaved peoples. As the head of the Equality Committee, I consider the expansion of dialogue and action for indigenous nations to be a priority. They can become our allies and support.

Concrete actions and proposals are discussed at conferences and round tables. We signed a memorandum with representatives of the League of Free Nations. This constitutional majority supported the obligation and this is important for Ukraine.

The last 11 years have been difficult for our state. I thank the representatives of the enslaved nations of the Russian Federation who are fighting in the ranks of our Defence Forces. The draft law on Ukrainian citizenship for foreigners fighting in the Defence Forces will contribute to our cooperation.

The topic of liberating the enslaved nations of Russia is complex, but it is the key to our victory. I am sure that we will not only save Ukraine but also help those who need protection.”
