There is no single vision of the future of Russia. There are two points of view.
One view, a radical one, is that the Russian Federation should be treated the same way as the Soviet Union, i.e., a controlled breakup with controlled non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
The second point of view is the opposite: let some authoritarian regime remain in Russia, because it cannot do without it. There have always been tsars, general secretaries, and Russians cannot do without Stalin or Putin. Therefore, let Russia have something similar to Putin, but with whom you can negotiate, because such a person will keep the country in submission, and nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction will not spread.
There is no single position on Russia either in the world or in the USA.
Of course, we would be more comfortable with the option that would involve the disintegration of Russia into several countries, not necessarily democratic ones, because then they will be forced to clarify economic, territorial and other relations among themselves, and they will not have time to attack Ukraine.
But the option, which provides for the preservation of the authoritarian regime in Russia, is a guarantee that in 10-20 years everything will be repeated. An authoritarian regime in Russia is a guarantee of aggression against Ukraine.
The existence of Ukraine denies the existence of Russia, so the Russian authoritarian regime will definitely try to destroy our country. Both now and in the future.
