One of the main tasks of Ukraine is to support national movements in the republics of Russia so that they establish independent and friendly states with Ukraine on the ruins of the modern Russian empire. This was stated in an interview with Focus by a military and public figure, a reserve major general of the Security Service of Ukraine, an expert on national security Viktor Yahun.
In his opinion, if Russia remains in its current state, it is a huge danger for Ukraine and future Ukrainians, our children.
“Of course, the occupiers will crawl back to their swamps and hide there for 20-30 years, but they will get out of them more than once,” says Viktor Yagun. “That’s why the support of national minorities and liberation movements on the territory of the Russian Federation is important.”
The expert notes that there has always been a place for Nazism and racism in Russia, and sometimes they turn into aggressive social movements. Moreover, intolerance is manifested not only on the part of Russians, but also on the part of people from the Caucasus, and here we can recall the incident at the Makhachkala airport with a plane from Israel. It is the intolerance of others and mass labour migration that is a kind of ticking time bomb for Russian society.
It is necessary to understand, says Viktor Yahun, that in some regions of the Russian Federation, the driving forces are the local ethnic population itself. For example, in Makhachkala they are Dagestanis, and in Tatarstan they are Tatars. It is in these regions that you can hardly listen to the hit song “I am Russian”, which is popular in the Russian Federation, the expert notes.
According to the reserve major general, even in Moscow it is very telling how many people go to church now, and how many hundreds of thousands gather for Muslim holidays or go to the mosque. Therefore, if an active racist group appears in the Russian Federation, residents from the Caucasus and other ethnic groups will quickly put it in its place.
Focus previously wrote that labour migrants will play a role in the collapse of the Russian Federation. According to political scientist Viktor Bobirenko, new citizens of the Russian Federation from Tajikistan or Uzbekistan do not understand why they should risk their lives for the mythical “Russian peace”.
