Anti-imperial Block of Nations

On 16 December 1966, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the fundamental documents based on the Declaration of Human Rights, which define the modern world order – the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

For 57 years, the world must adhere to the principle defined by the first article of these International Covenants – all nations have the right to self-determination. Based on this right, they freely establish their political status and ensure their economic, social and cultural development.

No nation can under any circumstances be deprived of its means of subsistence.

All states participating in these covenants, including those responsible for the administration of non-self-governing and dependent territories, must, under the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, encourage the exercise of the right to self-determination and respect this right.

Since then, many former colonies around the world have declared their independence. Many nations of Africa, Asia and Oceania have become free and independently determine their development.

The nations of Europe and Asia, which were forcibly incorporated into the USSR as quasi-republics, won their independence. It was won not because the USSR encouraged the exercise of the right to self-determination and respected it, but because of its struggle for national liberation, against the will of the permanent member of the UN Security Council – the USSR.

Today, its successor, Russia, which has usurped a seat on the UN Security Council, is waging an aggressive colonial war against a founding member of the UN, Ukraine, seeking to destroy it as an independent state.

At the same time, Russia, which recognizes itself as the heir to the Russian Empire and the USSR, continues and develops its colonial policy towards the nations that have been occupied by it for the past 500 years.

The independent Chechen Republic of Ichkeria was suppressed by military means, they were deprived of the sovereign rights declared by the Treaty on the Demarcation of Subjects of Management and Powers between the Federal Bodies of the State Government of the Russian Federation and the Authorities of the Sovereign Republics within the Russian Federation of 31 March 1992, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), The Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Kalmykia, the republics of the North Caucasus and many other states that have declared their desire for national self-determination, guaranteed to them by International Covenants.

Today, Russia is carrying out the genocide of the Ukrainian nation in the course of the war of aggression, and it is carrying out the genocide of the people enslaved by it, through systematic oppression and assimilation, depriving them of their political, civil, cultural, social and economic rights.

Therefore, our enemy is common. This is Russia, its imperial-colonial construction of the “prison of nations “, based on the misanthropic ideology of the “Russian world”.

We declare a joint struggle for the right to self-determination guaranteed to us by international pacts, and for this purpose, we unite in the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations. The Anti-Imperial Block of Nations is the successor of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations, which operated from 1943-2003 and led to the destruction of the Soviet Empire. The time has come to stop the crime and its successor – colonial Russia.

We once again raise the ABN slogan “Freedom for Nations! Freedom for man!” and proclaim:

  1. All nations have the right to self-determination. Based on this right, they freely establish their political status and freely ensure their economic, social and cultural development.
  2. We call on the world community to diplomatically recognize the state governments declared by the national liberation movements of the nations enslaved by Russia, to promote their realization of the right to self-determination guaranteed by international covenants.
  3. Russia’s refusal of its duty to encourage the exercise of the right to self-determination and to respect this right, enshrined in International Covenants, means that we will fight for this right in all possible ways and means.
  4. The war with the Russian occupier is also a war of economies. For centuries, the Russian colonial empire has been plundering and appropriating the national wealth of the nations enslaved by it, and now it is destroying Ukraine’s ecology, energy and industry. This is not counting the millions of victims and sufferings of the civilian population that it brought along with the war. War losses already exceed Russia’s assets abroad. Ukraine seeks to compensate for this damage, and it is unfair to shift the burden of financial aid needed to compensate the victims of Russian aggression onto the shoulders of Ukrainians and the international community, while 300 billion US dollars belonging to the aggressor remain frozen and virtually untouched. Therefore, they should be confiscated as soon as possible through the existing international mechanisms and aimed at the defence and restoration of Ukraine.
  5. An economic blockade should be declared against Russia. This will correspond to the principles and logic of international law – the aggressor must be deprived of the means of waging war. Therefore, we call on the governments of the free world to stop financing the aggressor by buying energy carriers and metals from him. We call on international businesses that have not yet left the Russian domestic market or are planning to return to it to stop sponsoring the war.
  6. The liberation war of the Ukrainian people against the aggression of the Russian colonial empire is a joint national liberation war of all nations enslaved and threatened by Russia.
  7. Supporting Ukraine in this liberation war for the rights of nations and people is a common cause of the free world and the nations temporarily enslaved by Moscow. For this, we seek the closest cooperation of the ABN regional committees and the representatives of the national liberation movements of the enslaved nations in lobbying the states of the free world to provide military, diplomatic, political and economic support to Ukraine for the victory over the occupier and the liberation of the nations.
  8. We promote the realization of the political and cultural collective rights of nations enslaved by Moscow. To this end, we aim to become a hub and resource centre for the protection, support and development of enslaved nations.
  9. We oppose Russian propaganda and disinformation and will convey the voice of the nations enslaved by Moscow to the world by creating information resources and products that will inform in the most effective way both at home and abroad about the deployment and activities of national liberation movements.
  10. We promote the realization of political and cultural rights by creating national and regional educational and expert institutions as brain and personnel centres of future independent states. These institutions must provide educational services under state building and institutional development programmes. The experience of the University of the Free Nations must be scaled and multiplied. We strive to create university studies dedicated to the study of languages, identities, and the history of enslaved nations.
  11. We promote the organization of national units within the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the military command of Ukraine and the political leadership of leading national liberation movements, as a movement towards the creation of national armies of future states.
  12. The existence of colonial Russia is a threat to peace and world security. The result of our war of liberation should be the overthrow of the Russian colonial empire and the emergence of national states on its ruins, which will build their free lives based on international law, mutual respect and peace.
