On 21 July, a rally of nations enslaved by the Russian Empire took place in Warsaw. Belarusians, Buriats, Circassians, Chechens, Tatars and other nationalities of the former USSR took part in the action. The leader of the National Liberation Movement “Free Belarus” Zyanon Pazniak spoke on behalf of Belarusians. Every third week of July in democratic countries, actions are held in support of nations suffering from large empires’ colonial policy. The Captive NationsWeek has been celebrated since 1953. The “Actions of Belarusians of Warsaw” community acted as the organizers of the rally in Warsaw.
