Anti-imperial Block of Nations

It is not specified what article they were charged with. Today about 15 security officials came to the college and started checking students’ phones. Two students – Vilnur and Gaziz – were detained. It is reported that Vilnur was detained allegedly for certain posts on the social network VKontakte.

According to the students themselves, the detentions are related to the protests that took place the day before in Baymak in support of activist and defender of Kushtau Fail Alsynov, sentenced to 4 years in a general regime colony.

The day before, the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa arrested six activists for the action on January 15.

A court in Bashkortostan sentenced local environmental activist, former head of the Bashkort organization banned in Russia, Fail Alsynov, to four years in prison on charges of “inciting hatred or enmity.”

At that time, there were thousands of supporters of Fail Alsynov near the building, and clashes with the police began. Among the protesters (https://t.me/navideovidno/70193) in Baymak there were wounded. Security forces used tear gas; There is also a possibility that stun grenades were used. After a clash with security forces, 40 protesters sought medical help. The Investigative Committee for Bashkortostan also reported that several security officials were injured.

A criminal case was opened under two articles at once: organizing and participating in mass riots (parts 1 and 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a representative of the authorities).
