A criminal case was opened against the great-granddaughter of the Soviet pilot Valery Chkalov, Daria Bogdanova, for calls for terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Professional informer Vitaly Borodin reported about this. According to him, she collected funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and “called for a nuclear strike on Moscow.”
According to ASTRA, the reason for the criminal prosecution was her video debate with journalist Oleg Kashin, which was published at the end of January on the YouTube channel of the Kholod publication. In Daria’s words, investigator of the Izmailovsky Interdistrict Investigation Department Polyakov saw calls for violence against representatives of government bodies.
No preventive measure was chosen for Daria – she is not in Russia.
