In Estonia, a member of the Defence Union was sentenced to prison for spying for Russia. Estonian citizen Ivan Dmitriev was convicted.
And this is not just another “Ivan” in the service of the FSB. He was a fully naturalised Estonian. He knew the language well and joined the Estonian territorial defence forces.
The Estonian “Kaitselit” is an auxiliary structure of the army, and in the event of Russian aggression, must quickly deploy and accept civilian Estonians ready for defence into its ranks.
The convict passed on to the Russians the locations of the “Kaitselit” bases, military depots and information about the organisation’s leadership. We can assume that in the event of war, the Russians would not hesitate to inflict a fire attack on the targets, paralysing the deployment of the Estonian defence forces and their allies.
Therefore, Russians in Europe are a danger factor. All of them should be thoroughly checked and there should be strict restrictions on their admission to the armed forces and special services.
