The Chechen occupation leader accused Vladimir Shamanov of crimes committed during the Russo-Chechen War. The statement was prompted by Shamanov’s criticism of the initiative to rename several Chechen towns and villages, where Russian names are being removed.
“Now that they’ve started changing names in the Chechen Republic, the vile scoundrel Shamanov has raised his voice and should be court-martialled for the crimes he committed. He was the cruellest general to the Chechen people,” Kadyrov stated.
