They demand that the activities of Khrushchev’s great-granddaughter Nina Khrushcheva be investigated for espionage and that her performances in Russia be banned.
According to SHOT, activists of the organization “Call of the People” expressed dissatisfaction with the planned lectures of Nina Khrushcheva at the “Yeltsin Centre”. The great-granddaughter of the famous Soviet leader has repeatedly spoken out with harsh anti-Russian rhetoric: she criticized “SVO”. She spoke about the possible disintegration of Russia, describing in detail the country’s disintegration within its current borders.
As a result, members of the public movement appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with a request to conduct an investigation into Nina Khrushcheva for her encroachment on the territorial integrity of Russia, to recognize her as a foreign agent and to cancel the planned presentation of her book about her great-grandfather at the Yeltsin Centre, scheduled for 26 November.
Nina Khrushcheva has lived in the United States for the past 33 years. She holds a professorship at the New School in New York City, where she teaches courses on international media, propaganda, and Russian history. Her great-grandfather, Nikita Khrushchev, served as the First Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee from 1953 to 1964.
