More than a year ago, the word “ultras” was associated with fights, riots and fireworks in stadiums. But it was these guys who became one of the driving forces of the Maidan, and then, when the threat to territorial integrity began to emerge from the east, it was the ultras who became one of the first to defend Ukraine. The role of football fans in the future victory of Ukraine is invaluable.
But not only Ukrainian fans are ready to fight with weapons in their hands against Putin’s regime. Ultras teams of the Russian Premier League are ready to join them.
After the sortie of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” and the Legion of “Freedom of Russia” in the Belgorod region, football ultras from Belgorod recorded an appeal about the decision to join the ranks of the militia and work for the benefit of the common idea. In the video, which was posted on fan sites, young people in balaclavas said that now they had a real and last chance to change the future of Russia.
