Of course, we all want to win. But, unfortunately, we have very little discussion about what exactly we will consider it. For me, it is a “cake” that consists of many layers that are gradually stacked one on top of the other. It is important that we already have the first of them.
The basis of our “Napoleon” is the most important victory at the moment – the collapse of Putin’s blitzkrieg last year. Ukraine exists and functions as a state. The next layer of victory – we are no longer just defending ourselves: the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to win back part of the territories captured last year. Another layer on our victory cake is that the enemy is now forced to defend itself on its own territory. Next, obviously, must be the recapture of all the territories occupied after February 24, 2022. Then – exit to the borders of 1991. But even this will not be enough – we need NATO membership as the main guarantee of deterring Russian aggression in the future.
And as the icing on our cake, I see the reformation of the Russian Empire into a collection of national democratic states. In this way, the Russian threat to Ukraine and the world will be eliminated forever. That’s how delicious I see complete victory. The recipe is complicated. Therefore, its preparation is a matter not only of the Armed Forces, but of each and every one of us.
